I don't care how right on he's being lately, Piers Morgan is an oily scumbag and I don't trust his motives one bit. He just senses the way the wind might be blowing. He's still one of the Baddies.

It's kinda like everyone wanking themselves over all The Lincoln Project adverts against Trump. Yes, they happen to be attacking something that's worth attacking, but it's all still kinda horrible.

I wouldn't shed a single tear for the loss of their news related programs (their obsessive need to both sides everything has ruined them).

Their educational stuff is another story though.

Our aim is simple Ė we want to decriminalise non-payment of the TV licence fee
Non-payment is not a criminal offence

How can they not see they have already won? The bbc has been cowed, the campaign has been successful. Surely itís more use to these dickheads now than itís ever been?

On a related note, they've sent me so many threats over the years that they've probably spent as much as the licence fee on paper / postage.

The BBC's still stealing eyeballs from watching advertising. It's what the NHS is to private healthcare, and the complainers are selling health insurance.

And the BBC is fixable. A new focus on truth and accountability would mess everything up. You have to dismantle the thing you fear and if you can sell off the pieces at a profit, even better.

Gotta find a way to punish the most vulnerable even during a time of mass unemployment and reduced vacancies.

Ach, they grow out of that pretty quickly. Netflix has all bases covered other than up to 4 years old.

Iíd much rather see the BBC fixed rather than loss. I really donít think itís as far gone as some suggest. The Ďbalanceí thing is mostly only on QT. Laura whatserface is the biggest impartiality problem.

Newsnight is still one of the best current affairs programs there is.

It's funny, my two have never got into anything on Prime. All about Netflix. But yeah, they do have some good stuff.

Losing the BBC would be huge. It's not perfect and they do need their heads knocking but nobody, NOBODY is willing to pay for journalism anymore. To have a tax funded broadcaster that's reasonably impartial and services all parts of the country is vital.

A political appointee into a traditionally civil service role?

    This is a bad development
