The Greens leadership election has come out with the co-leaders and deputy leader all retaining their positions.

Although being three of the four Greens anyone had actually heard of is a huge advantage

    PMQs summary:

KS: Testing is a mess and people are being directed to testing centres miles away. What is the PM going to do to fix it?

BJ: Testing is fine. Why is he always talking down our brave workers in the NHS? They deserve his full support. Test and trace is great blah blah blah

Johnson then closed with some fully scripted cutting remarks on Brexit and Labour being full of remainers despite the fact Brexit hadn't even been mentioned.

Great, all we need is for Starmer to cark it from Covid-19 and this year really will be complete.

I may have posted this before, but....

In Scotland, a month ago, the schools go back. As usual, all the kids come back with a snotty nose, which spreads to their families.

This year, everyone panicked and applied to a CV19 test, despite being told not to for just a runny nose.

Result - testing system overwhelmed, people being sent to centres at the other end of the country.

Action taken - Jason Leitch (our National Clinical Director, the star of the pandemic - very clear and reassuring, gets the message across very well) sends a letter to all parents reminding them that a runny nose is not a reason to request a covid test.

Roll on to the English schools going back...has exactly the same happened? Do they not learn anything?

Im pretty sure our government are actively avoiding anything the scots do because they are consistently making them look like dickheads.

I mean, you guys fucked the school results and we still contrived to learn absolutely no lessons from it.

From what I can gather it's similar, but not quite the same. Seems a lot are getting tested when showing symptoms, but it's likely that a lot of those symptoms are down to a cold bug etc. Temperatures and a hacking cough are pretty common with colds all high has led to the system being overwhelmed anyway

Like I said the other day, the fundamental problem is that there is no triage or threshold for getting a test.

They dont even ask, for example:

    - Have you been contacted by track and trace?
    - Do you have a cough?
    - Do you have a temp?
    - Has anyone in your bubble tested positive?

Proper, basic call centre checklists. Its mental.

They do that on the online booking but no-one actually checks, which is, as you say, mental

The New British Union (of Fascists) are claiming to now be a registered party here in the U.K.

I’m assuming it’s the latest rebrand of the same baddies who have spent decades moving from NF to BNP to Britain First to EDL to UKIP but they’re really getting confident about it again recycling Mosley’s flag

We have done two tests in our household, both due to high fevers.

My son had another one day fever weekend but didnt test.

I now have a cough and feel a bit rough (although better than Saturday). I am sure my son is spreading this at nursery now (and got it from there as we are social distanced). This can only get much worse as we move into actual flu season.

Should you not all be self-isolating?

We've been taking our kids' temp, as one was complaining about being hot, but I think that was probably due to playing Xbox in a closed room for 10 hours wearing a thick, fleece onesy....

So they blindly vote for what has their party's name next to it with no effort to analyse, evaluate or judge on what they're actually voting for?

I am shocked I tell you.

There’s a million stories of MPs turning up at the division bell and being instructed which door by the whips without even knowing the subject

I'll be fascinated to hear how Douglas Ross and the five other Scot Tory MPs, who have already confirmed they will vote for the IMB, respond to this. Assuming our totally not-at-all biased MSM bother to pose the question.

Curious that in all their continual clamor about respecting the result of the 2014 referendum, the Scots Tories are happy to row back on the protocols of the devolution settlement, which 75% of the Scottish electorate voted for in 1997.

Boris at the Liaison Committee now.

"PM, It is currently the case that a father can go to the pub or go grouse shooting but cannot attend a baby scan with his wife" - Ooooffff!

edit - he is such a sack of embarrassment!

I’m going to assume that Boris thinks father going to the pub or the shoot while wife/mistress gets on with all that girlish nonsense is a perfectly ordinary state of affairs
