It's crazy, I know a number of Tories and they're all properly into the arts... but I guess they are happier when only rich people get to train in them?

Yes. For tories rich+nepotism (+preferably white)=good. Anything else bad.

Good. Neither side needs an ERG type.

You get kicked out of the house for calling the PM a liar?!

Do these people not like the truth?

Too prissy about using a term like "liar".

Weird system when repeated lying is fine but calling it out gets you punished.

    Suits many politicians just fine.

It's fair enough - it's unparliamentary language and she knows as such.

The problem is that the house hasn't dealt with anyone who lies quite so routinely as this Prime Minister. There needs to be some change to the code to account for this Prime Minister.

The thing is, it will get worse if tories get voted in again. All the shitty things they are doing now, will look tame for the next level of cuntry they will do

I'm glad someone didn't back down in the face of that "is the right honourable blah blah surely not saying the right honourable blah blah is telling an untruth".

If someone lies regularly and obviously and you want to draw attention to it/remain sane, you're basically stuck otherwise in that environment.

I think they should take it in turns to call the PM a liar. Different person each day. It is astonishing that the speaker lets him get away with actual lies. I miss the old days.

I'd become erect if this happens.

He won't, because then he's giving ammo to the Tories

Yep. Every day, when asked to withdraw their comment, they could say -

'Mr Speaker - look me in eye and tell me you do not believe that the Prime Minister lies and lies and lies and lies, in the House, in cabinet, and to his previous and current family, and I will withdraw my comment. Here is a list of his top 100 lies this session, for your reference.'

The Police have no confidence in the home secretary or government.

Bit like the rest of us then.

You're not allowed to read long lists out

To prevent time wasting - In the place that went on holiday yesterday and won't come back until the 6 September, and then goes on holiday for another 3 weeks from 23rd Sep to 18th Oct After a whole two weeks of work they have a week off to recuperate from 9th - 15th Nov.
And they finish the year by having two and a half weeks off for Christmas and New Year.

So no lists, they waste time.

Yes, that makes sense. Ok, a 100 word sentence where each word is a brief reminder of one of his lies. 'Jennifer Brexit runway prorogue Queen, social fishing bridge Darius Neil protocol, ....'

@IRWATWO hah that's actually quite a useful way to deal with the overload of nonsense. Short and concise and enough of a puzzle that your brain works to understand/remember it

    EU FLAGS TO FLY AGAIN!

    https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/brexit-eu-flag-covid-recovery-cash-councils-b1889502.html

You couldn't make it it up etc. I'd quite like to run one up the flagpole, if only to piss off the pair of gammons nextdoor.

Iím pretty sure pre-Brexit the regional development fund was the only thing paying for anything around here.

Even the swings I take Baby Maybe to have the yellow and blue on the signs.
