Urgh, highlights of the latest leadership debate. Some bumpkin wanting to see Nigel Farage as Prime Minister.

    Urgh indeed.

The fact that Hunt came across as the reasonable, credible candidate speaks volumes about the state we're in.

Of course Hunt isn't really credible either. Just take his corporation tax talking point, what he conveniently failed to mention is that while the size of the economic pie in the US may have grown over the last two years it was at a cost, that being the fastest sustained growth in the deficit since WW2. Good old fiscal conservatism at its best!

I couldn't bring myself to watch it.

I take it Boris was unable to answer any questions directly?

Yeah he was pulled up on it multiple times and just ignored it and ploughed on with being Boris. Hunt was considerably better and someone this morning said it was like watching the head boy versus the class clown. The conservative membership seem to want the class clown in charge because he says things like believe in Britain and belittles anyone that tries to ask him a hard question.

Oh god no. The only thing he said with any conviction is that we'll be out by October 31st and to be fair that's all his target audience wanted to hear, so in that regard he played a blinder.

Totally threw Kim Darroch under the bus too. What a monumental cunt. I only lasted 5 minuted before turning off in anger. NO AMOUNT OF PREPARATION WILL HELP COME 31 OCTOBER YOU SPANNERS

Seems like a great idea to create an environment where our embassadors feel unable to give honest evaluations of the country they are assigned to.

    A plan with no flaws.

Spin under Blair was bad, but we've no reached a stage where exactly one sound bite is all you need to get the top seat. We're fucked, but we deserve it for allowing these lunatics to run the asylum.

100% agree. I don't blame the egomaniac, I blame the gimps who are taken in by them.

I mean I blame the egomaniac, the gimps and the ones that have lied to them for decades. Blame being a free, infinite resource and all.

Tbh I also blame the younger generation; they still don't engage in politics as much as they should, with their time seemingly spent more on social media, netflix, love island, etc, than on serious issues that could affect their future.

IMHO, voter apathy is more destructive than voting Brexit.

Darroch has resigned. We are truly at the end of days, being dictated to by fucking Trump.

Well, yes, I agree with that too. Although I only really took an interest in my late 20s.

Darroch resigning pretty much justifies his comments that were leaked; the way Trump handled this has been inept.

Edit: Oh, and of course Farage is happy with the resignation, the utter, utter cunt.

Probably one of his Russian acquaintances behind the leak. Particularly as they were passed on to Oakeshit.

It's remarkable that Jeremy Hunt has become the compromise candidate for anything let alone Prime Minister

The only (sort of) positive that I can see to come out of Sir Kim's resignation is that it shows why having an isolationist attitude is a bad idea (ie Brexit). Even the allies you think are your strongest can turn around and tell you to fuck off, and there's nothing you can do when you've already burned your bridges elsewhere.

Large parts of the country won't see that nor care. The little Englander idiocy is out of the bottle.

The UK is politically more fucked then May was "negotiating" with the EU, 2 cunt have the chances to be thew new PM and its hard to tell which is the worst cunt. Despite all the evidence how screwed the UK when we leave the EU later this UK, these thick leavers STILL want the UK to leave with or without a deal. These deeply thick twats, just want to leave the EU at any cost and don't care about the UK economy at all. Their cunt brain, just has 1 thought, "leave the EU". They bang on about how the EU is "dictatorship" but have no problem Trump dictating UK policies etc to get his shitty trade deals

Its depressing (and its fucking hot, so its pissing me off more than usual)

If Labour keep saying "disaffected former employees" enough times, it'll all go away...

I get the feeling that the reaction to this documentary from people defending Labour will do more damage and be more toxic and racist than any of the claims that Panorama will air
