As much of a cunt as Andrew Neill is, he completely slaughtered Hunt and Johnson in their interviews a minute ago.

Not hard to do. Just asking them about some details. Any details.

Andrew Neill has some bad opinions in his personal politics (Brexit, climate change) but given his interview approach when he's on it is based so heavily on pointing out contradictions and inaccuracies and trying to pin down answers he can really pile on the pressure.

Plus he's not one for being scared of a guest or the idea that asking the something awkward will risk access at a future date.

He also knows that whatever he does, Johnson's fanbase will not care one iota.

Saw some of the questions and answers on the Guardian live blog. It's classic Johnson through and through. Absolutely no substance, all fluff, blagging his way through as usual and constantly skirting questions where he hasn't got a pre planned answer.

Our new PM ladies and gentlemen.

OK so I just googled and read through Gatt 24. Which Boris keeps banging on about.

I expected it to be a huge incredibly complex document. It is not.

It's genuinely absurd that he is basing an entire argument on it and isn't able to provide an answer to a straight forward question.

    His incompetence is staggering.

The WTO website also actually has some decent online training if I remember correctly. I did it 7 years ago when I was working on trade in services, so GATS was my thing.

I think you've missed the point. By mentioning GAT24 or whatever he and his people know that no fucker is ever going to look it up but it sounds clever knowing don't it.

I've only seen some clips of the Johnson one, but they were enough. Excruciating

What annoys me most is when hard-line brexiteers defend "no deal" by citing deals we might do.
Eg... GAT24. Which is just a ready made sort term deal we could do (but EU won't agree because it is cake and eat it territory!)

    Durham Miner's Gala today

People got dragged off for protesting Labour's Brexit position last year.

This latest tactic by Labour is really offensive.

    https://twitter.com/rlong_bailey/status/1149597867201331201?s=21

Obviously it’s awful that Formby has cancer, but to so blatantly attempt to use it to quieten (literally) the accusations of racism is so so cynical.

If she's not able to do her job because of the chemo, she should step aside until she's better. And if she is, what's the problem in raising issues with her? I don't get it.

Hmmm Well that's incredibly tasteless. As a former sufferer of cancer this is all pretty grim.

    The state of this...

    https://twitter.com/lenmccluskey/status/1150041483141165056?s=21

I’m no fan of Watson either frankly. If anyone is ‘weaponising’ the whole situation it’s him. The whole lot are rotten as fuck. This party is literally ruined. Falling apart from the inside and the outside. Bin the lot of them and start again, Labour is irreparably broken.

It’s come to something when Tom Watson is considered the voice of reason in the party. Back in the ‘00s, he was considered a dead-eyed factional ideological nasty fucker. But put alongside people who seem determined to be actual Nazis, he suddenly seems quite sane.

Blair certainly. Don’t remember him going for Brown, but the dying days of that Government were so chaotic that I might just have missed it.

Labour whistleblowers suing the party for defamation in their response to Panorama.

They’re using Mark Lewis who’s handling of the Mille Dowler case led to the News of the World’s death.

Along with the EHRC investigation there’s some fun time ahead for magic grampa!

It'll be strange seeing the handbreak 180 the outriders do when they drop Corbz and friends and try to gaslight everyone into thinking it was always the party and not the man they backed up this time next year
