Like on a DVD?
It seems a bit silly. When we've already paid for it to be produced in the first place you then have to pay once more if you want to watch it again.

Registered 16 years agoIt's going to be ONdigital all over again. Except then it was Sky they were trying to take on with their shit back catalogue, and now it's Netflix and Amazon and Disney directly.
I give it a year. -

Registered 15 years agoIt is cheaper than the TV licence. Just need to stop BBC being allowed to force it on anyone watching any live broadcasts on any channel.
I wonder how comprehensive a library it will have (obviously after the 12 month BBC timeout and shorter ones for other channels) once rights sold elsewhere get sorted out. Would still only be an odd month thing at best in my case. Gave up on the licence years ago when I realised I was quite happy with streaming services and rarely actually watched BBC stuff. -

Registered 6 years agoI probably watch BBC more than anything else these days (CBeebies and history docs on BBC 4 mostly) but I'm not sure I'd be paying six quid a month to binge old series of 2.4 Children or Tomorrow's World -

Registered 12 years agoI might try the free month to watch some classic Dr. Who.
There’s definitely potential to appeal to the nostalgia crowd, if it’s got Dogtanion and the Three Muskahounds I’ll be hooked. -

Registered 16 years agoDogtanian and the Three Muskehounds was Spanish, not British.
You can watch it on youtube if you want. But you don't because it's fucking awful.
Fun fact: the "da-da-dun, da-da-dun" bit in the title song is actually the words " D'Artacan, D'Artacan" which is the name Dogtanian had in the original Spanish before it was dubbed.

So even less reason, blimey. Admittedly seeing it in HD would be cool if it did land, SD DVD extremely pants on today's tellys even with upscaling and all that. But not £6 a month good enough.

Edge of Darkness
Of ITV, having had a think, I'd watch the whole 63-up thing and its predecessors again, and Tiswas. -
