I am going to be upgrading various bits of my PC in the next couple of weeks and I’m getting a bit confused by motherboards. The main thing I’m upgrading is the processor from an i5 3570k to an i7 9700k which obviously has a knock on effect on other components. I think I understand that I need a z390 motherboard (?) but beyond that I don’t really know what I need to look for. I want to overclock the cpu and I need enough USBs of the right type to run an oculus rift and a couple of other things (Xbox controller dongle and a Bluetooth receiver). Anyone have any recommendations? Ideally I want to spend up to about £150 ish and I’m not interest in the latest gimmicks unless there are massive performance benefits that exist in reality. Thanks |
