    Anyone excited?

Decent streaming service would be good.

    This speech is very uninspiring.

This is deeply boring so far.

I'm not particularly enthused by the idea of a Google console, honestly. There's a rumour they've partnered with Sega in some way, possibly IP revivals. Like that character in that film said, "not like this :( :( :("

    It's a platform for EVERYONE.

As opposed to the other platforms that you're not allowed to use.

This is just marketing bollocks so far.

Sounds like they're trying to force YouTube onto some sort of gaming platform to bum twitch.

    The tech looks pretty impressive.
  • Deleted user 19 March 2019 17:21:22
The USP so far is 'you're watching someone play Ass Creed and you want to play it yourself so click play and play it'.

It's got that whiff of 'trying hard to solve a problem that doesn't really exist'. It'll be rotting with google plus and goggles in 12 months.

Some of the streaming stuff looks good. A gaming Netflix is surely the way it's going, so if they are first to market with it fair play to them, it might take off.

I really hate the standard American way of presenting shit and the whopping morons in the crowd.

Considering how shit Youtube image quality is, I'm sceptical.

I'm watching the stream on Youtube and despite a wired gigabit/s internet connection it's compressed and shit.
  • Deleted user 19 March 2019 17:28:07
What happens if you don't give a fuck about sharing stuff on youtube? I know it's basically a full time job for a minority of gamers, but do most people give a shit?

It's not an attractive USP for me.

It all sounds pretty impressive to me. Doom Eternal at 4K 60FPS with no console.

I'd put money on it hitting their claimed resolution but with a noticeably compressed image.

The focus of this seems to be killing Twitch.

It's all quite interesting. Is there any word on the payment model? I'm assuming it's effectively a subscription service, but does that include all the games like Netflix?

If it is that, it's a complete game changer, and Google have been fucking smart to be first out with something like that.

You could walk to Pluto and back a dozen times.

No you couldn't, you could walk the equivalent distance you knob.
