Iím not a sniper guy generally or a sniper character in the game for the most part (Moze and Zane) but itís just a brilliant weapon. Feels so smooth to use, I just hip fire it constantly
PAX show is live. BL3 coming to Steam 13 March. Epic/Steam crossplay confirmed.

Tempted to pick it up on Steam tomorrow. It didn't play all that great on my base PS4, thinking my ability to play fps' at 30fps is a thing of the past.
Just a reminder that the 2nd DLC, The Marriage of Wainwright & Hammerlock, will be released today.
At the same time, the level cap is increased to 57. I'll level up before starting the DLC to avoid getting unique quest rewards at a lower level. Shouldn't take long in the Slaughter Shaft though, iirc people levelled from 50 to 53 in a single run.

Have there been any performance improvements on PS4 since launch? I havenít touched it since September when just opening menus seemed to cause the system to stress out...

CTWJB-H5HSW-R96RS-5R3BB-H33K5 (5GKs) - Expires April 8
C3KTJ-WF9SK-F9F6H-56TT3-CZ6FR (10GKs) - Expires April 10
Anyone playing the dlc? Worth forking out 40 quid for so far, or hold out for a summer/xmas sale?
@Vortex808 The first DLC was decent. Nothing game-changing, but a solid 8/10 sort of expansion. Adds a new 6-8ish hour story, a bunch of new weapons, a couple of fun bosses and some more collectibles. If you played BL3 and thought "I want more of that", then that's what it gave you.
Not played the second DLC yet (I own the season pass), but gather it is broadly similar. Maybe a touch longer than the first.
They're usually decent value for money, so i am tempted. Even at full price. Not finished the main game yet though, still arsing about on eden6.
I believe there's quite a bit of that! 😃
@Vortex808 One thing the game is not short on is Eden 6.
If they put out a DLC titled "Eden 6's Eden 6-tacular Adventure With Lots More Eden 6", I think angry mobs would defy social distancing rules to hunt down Randy Pitchford with flaming torches.
So apparently the Marriage of Wainwright & Hammerlock DLC is homophobic and racist. What

I don't usually bother with Shift codes, especially as I'm not playing this at the moment- but this one's not golden keys it's a Conference Call...
Oooh. I will use that, thanks!
Just entering the main campaign end game now. I think- mission 22 if i remember rightly.
Seems like they're trying to give you a little something to start the new Mayhem modes with.
To anyone who isn't aware, tomorrow the Mayhem mode system will be replaced by Mayhem 2.0 which has 10 different levels and gives you more control over how many modifiers of what difficulty you'll get. There will be new modifiers like "the floor is lava" (standing still for too long is going to hurt you), big head mode for easier crits etc. There'll be new legendaries (exclusive to the four uppermost Mayhem levels), new anointments, and more.
Apparently higher Mayhem levels give stronger loot which sounds a little like BL2's OP levels, not sure how to feel about that right now, but we'll see.
Mayhem 2.0 explained
The new Cartel event also starts tomorrow, with a new mission from Maurice (and hopefully more of his comments on your murdery deeds), introducing new special stuff happening in game, new gear again and a new map. It'll last 6 weeks but you can opt out if you want.
Revenge of the Cartels quick guide
And finally, there's also a new loot mini-event also starting tomorrow, where every map on one planet has an increased drop rate for a specific type of gear, the planet switching once a week. It begins tomorrow with Pandora.
Loot the Universe mini-event
Patch notes just released, there'll be a lot of fixes and buffs. Especially Moze seems to get buffed a lot, about time.

Currently playing this (lvl17? although it still hasn't totally convinced me yet) and BL2 on ps4...and Borderlands goty on Xbox1!
Played original and 2 to death (including all dlc) on many machines, but the most fun of all 3 games at the moment is BL1.
I love sticking on some music, usually PF and just going off doing missions.

New mayhem is kind of buggy & frustrating, I may stay off it a few days till they hotfix some of the worst stuff.
Stupid question, why am i hearing the odd scream just now? Is that event based?
Doesn't seem to be gun related! 😃
Also, what's this guardian rank malarkey in the end game? I have carried on to finish some stuff and plug folk for maurice, but not started tvhm, or mayhem stuff yet.
Not sure what you mean with those odd screams. Now being a member of the BL3 science community figuring out all the insane maths behind this game made me hear voices, have bad dreams, and become a broken alcoholic--but those voices aren't actually in the game, so tbh I'm not sure what you mean.
Is it like humans screaming? Or is it Maurice commenting on your actions? Is there a specific scenario where this happens?
Guardian Ranks basically improve your power, and you want that in the late/end game (I'm struggling to call it that, because unlocking them is still early game). It gives you account-wide access to more "skills" (the Guardian rewards) which make you much more powerful and make the game crazier/more fun. For example, Overkill multiplies your next shot's damage by up to x5 after killing an enemy, which is huge for sniper rifles. Topped Off allows you to spam your action skill like there's no tomorrow. You definitely want all this in the middle/late game.
Thanks. Slowly upping crits and other multipliers i like, but have looked and seen if i pour enough tokens into certain skillsets it will give other bonuses.
Probably need to re-spec my moze character now too tbh.
I like the anointed weapons, if you can get right stats on the right weapons, it will be amazing! For a bit, until you outlevel the gun... 😀
Need to think about the season pass now i guess...
A lot of the fun comes from figuring out how to exploit the mechanics.
E.g. Torgue weapons have this sticky alternative fire mode which makes the stuck projectiles explode with increasing damage on reload, depending on how many are stuck to the enemy. Now rocket launchers usually have small magazines, but Moze has this "Some for the Road" skill which gives unlimited ammo for 5 seconds after exiting Iron Bear. This means you can spam a boss full with sticky rockets from a Quickie rocket launcher and on reload they are very sad.
Bonus elemental damage anointments cause some guns to spawn more ricochets. Like, the Projectile Recursion ricochets from enemy to enemy, but with bonus elemental damage, each hit spawns additional ricochets for an exponential amount of ricocheting projectiles that melt system performance and make everything evaporate in a huge megasplosion. This is most useful for Amara because she's got the most bonus elements.
Zane has increasing damage based on movement speed, so he can shoot a sticky projectile (King's Call) at an enemy, and when it explodes damage will be based on his current speed. So he can shoot it, start running and sliding with a Snowdrift artifact which gives him ridiculous speed which in turn gives the explosion ludicrous damage.
Don't get me started about Amara's Ties That Bind and Remnant skills in combination with the right gear and anointments which will result in billions of damage from a gun with 40k damage on the card.
All this insanity is a major reason why I love this game.
