Hmmm reviews have put me off. I’m thinking if I have a Burnout itch that I need to spend £20 to scratch Burnout Paradise Remastered might be a better option. Passed last gen as I didn’t like the idea of an open world Burnout.

FWIW I thought Burnout Paradise was awesome.

I had a go last night on XB1 and really enjoyed myself. Not without its issues as others have said but it most definitely has the heart of Burnout and I had a lot of fun. I think it's priced pretty much where it needs to be too. Will definitely be heading back for more and I look forward to a hopefully improved release in DD2!

Sounds like we are on the same page.

I personally feel that the EG 'recommended' is a touch generous. It's got too many issues to be broadly liked by most people, but it has a heart of gold and as a big fan of the original 3 games, its really ticking a lot of boxes for me. When it works it is absolutely glorious.

Having a blast with this. It's unashamedly retro in its presentation and approach, but I don't see that as a bad thing. Things like the stutter in the tunnels (when it's loading the next area of the map) and bugs are being worked on, as is the online mode. I've got Gold (or Platinum) in all Sedan events so far. On to the SUV...

Just had a quick go and initial impressions are disappointing. The lack of music is a real mood killer, and on Xbox you need a paid Spotify. The graphics are workmanlike at best. It does have a good impression of speed, but I haven't gelled with the handling yet. I'll give it another go tomorrow and see if it improves.

@TechnoHippy - there is a setting for the handling so that you can change how they feel to drive. It defaults to 7 on a scale of 10 (where 1 is heavy and 10 is light, it seems). I'm trying 5 at the moment and that seems to work better for me. Have an experiment and see what works for you.

@kosigan Thanks for the tip - I'll give it a try.

Picked this up, happy to support an indie dev working on arcade racers like this, no one else is going to make them.

It's really no frills, you can see the lack of budget in so many areas, but it's fun. Super fast, the handling does reveal itself a bit as you get into it. I'd love for them to do well and get to a point where they can flesh this out for sequels.

The sensitivity adjustment did improve things for me. I'm still struggling with it a bit, but not as bad as I was. I'll give it more of a play now I've actually managed to win a few races :-)

I got it on disc because it came with Danger Zone 2.
