I had the same experience. I'd heard good things and was looking forward to trying it, but it takes ages to get going and when it does it just feels so dull. I'll give it another try at some stage, but for now I can't be bothered.

Looks like Nier Automata is coming to Game Pass soon, perhaps even today. Still not clear if console only or PC too.

Wish MS and Remedy would do a Covid 19 care package via Gamepass and put Control on there for me.

While it's probably not my sort of game, I do hear good things about it and one of the pluses for Game pass is trying things you wouldn't normally give time or money too.

I didn't like the demo, but everyone says the full game is better. Well, I'll give it a go.

Itís a game you have to play five times or something to see it all, problem is playthrough 1 isnít all that enthralling to begin with. Hard to see what the fuss is about and hard to drum up enough interest to push through 🤷🏻‍♂️
    Ymmv.

Re Nier Automata... From what I've heard it's like a magic eye drawing where you have to stare at it for 60 hours or so and then it's a fucking revelation?

I kind of want to play it but can't be bothered to chuck that amount of time into something that's anything other than brilliant from start to finish.

I played through it and the 1st ending was good but you have to do multiple endings to know the full story (I've read some playthroughs are lot shorter than the main playthrough)

I only played Nier 1 and there were 4 endings. After ending 1 you got dropped in the middle of the game for each subsequent ending, and they went much quicker than game 1 because you knew where do go and you had better stuff. It's been bloody ages since I did it but it really was a case of ending 1 is only the beginning. Need to get round to Automata at some point.

Nier Replicant is getting "remastered" for current consoles (we didn't get the Nier Replicant version, it was just character change for the west iirc)

RE: Automata, each ending is effectively a different chapter of the story. The only time you're replaying stuff is the second route, where you see the same events from someone else's perspective. The following two routes are completely different, and then the final ending is a different choice at the end of route D.

NieR Gestalt (/Replicant), on the other hand, you have to play the second half of the game again for each ending (though with new stuff added in each time, and because you carry over all your levels/gear etc, subsequent playthroughs get shorter and shorter. I think my run for the final ending was under two hours).

    EDIT wot ork sed

Finished Ori, and near as dammit 100% aside from two areas stuck at 99% map completion... You're pretty much invincible post game and all the secrets are unveiled to mop up pretty easily.

    @northernlights
You and me both mate. Almost tempted by the £20 on psn, but holding out.
Likewise hoping Greedfall comes to gp soon.

I only have an Xbox and the cheapest Iíve seen it is £27.99 from Argos. You know of course the second we buy it the game goes on game pass.

Prey leaving..great..I really need to stop picking out games to play next as they are always leaving as soon as I decide! Suppose I can put aside Quantum Break as I guess that isn't going anywhere.

Yeah, I've also barely scratched the surface of Prey and it's leaving now. Think I saw a PC code for £4 the other day, so might just buy it.

Nowadays we have all the time in the world, I'd say 14 days are enough to see Prey to the end. I clocked around 20 hours, but I backtracked a lot.

Not sure why they only give 14 days notice of games leaving, it should be a month

I'm pretty sure Control is on PS Now so you could always just sub for a month.

    Playthrough-
Lonely Mountains Downhill- more of a physics bicycle sim than a game
Pillars of Eternity- disappointed my expectations
Metal Gear Solid(Xbox360)- seems to have dated
Untitled Goose Game- nice, original fun
Blazing Chrome- Kind of retro but not all that super
Dead Cells- rather good hack n slash, procedural based dungeons
    Slay the Spire- Decent
    Enter the Gungeon- essential

    Playing through
Lego Ninjago movie game - it was actually ok

Guacamelee 2 - close to giving up in this, the platforming is actually not fun, Lots of cheap 1 hit kills and cheap enemies

Marvel vs capcom infinite: Played some practice matches as the 67 gig install will not play any story or arcade until its fully installed. Seems fun in a button bashing way
