Well technically Fallout was an isometric Wasteland.

But yeah, iso-ish post-apocalyptic tactical rpg.

Wasteland 2 was excellent, if rough around he edges. This looks like a bigger budget, more refined sequel, which can only be a good thing.

Only issue is I'm 30hrs deep in Pathfinder at the moment, so this may need to hang on for a bit.

Think of it as Fallout crossed with X-Com.

Somebody posted the first few hours to youtube after the beta a few months back. I don't know what difficulty they were playing on, but it looked bastard hard whatever it was.

The last one did get stupidly hard at times too. Particularly when you got to the second location, so I wouldn't be surprised.

My game pass expires this month because I dived into the "upgrade for £1" before researching how to make the most of it

So... if I let it expire and then use a load of gold codes (they're still selling 12 month ones on cdkeys) then do the upgrade again for one month of ultimate (£14.99)... that still works. I think.

Question I couldn't find by googling though- how far ahead can I go? Is it 3 years since I originally got Ultimate that they'll do the gold conversion, or can I add a whole 3 years of gold after I let it expire, and convert all of it?
Just to confirm: this still works fine. I got 24 months of gold for £80 then paid for a month of Ultimate and I'm subscribed until mid February 2022- works out about £6 a month rather than £12 if I'd done it the proper way.

Edit: I was doing American date formats for some reason, actually it covers me til December 2022, not February, so even better

Tried Hypnospace Outlaw, some amazing fake pages in there, but it's a bit too difficult for me.

Also looks way too low res, which makes it annoying to read. It's not like most people didn't already have 1024x768 monitors in 1999. The past wasn't nearly as pixelated as everyone seems to remember.

Yup, CK3 is out on game pass today. It's a worldwide release at, I think, 5pm UK time. I've picked up the full version. It looks absolutely fantastic, really looking forward to it.

    Couple of early impressions/reviews:

Ah, must've missed that... At least it was only £7.50, not a full price game.

I've not played a RE game since the awful Xbox demo for 5 (not including a brief look at RE2 - which I didn't get on with) after loving 4 on the Gamecube. Anyhoo, as it's gamepass I thought I might as well take a look, and it's much better than I expected (so far) - the puzzles can be a pain (bloody shadow bollocks), but overall it's much more approachable and the atmosphere is spot on, although the story so far is very different to the ones I've played. I'm assuming there's been some sort of iterative evolution with the games I've missed.

No, 7 is quite a departure from all the other games. There is free dlc called "not a hero" but play it after finishing the main game

PS Now actually shows it in the game listings, helps you prioritise! They need to add that.

Still the same running around in circles looking for obscure objects when I could just blow the door open.

    It's starting to drag.

Each and every survey I get from Xbox (I'm an ambassador don't you know*) has a "make xbox better" box to fill in. Each and every survey I request the date a game is leaving GP is permanently on the Game tile.
If it happens it probably down to me 😂

*this is not a job they give to the xxxx kid so he will do something they don't want to do for free.

Even if they just put a leaving on date for titles with less than say 6 months or something that would help. Anything else could just have Ď6+ monthsí instead of a date.

Saw a theory that having short notice for titles leaving, makes people then buy the game from the MS store if they are in the middle of it (as they get a discount as well), it sounds plausible tbh.

I did this for Kingdom Come Deliverance and some other games. Some developers have stated that Game Pass has massively increased sales. I can imagine games with a lot of DLC especially benefit. Cities Skylines or Stellaris for example.

I've fallen hard for Undermine. Great little roguelite. Emphasis on lite because you can carry gold between runs (and pay to carry a greater %). I'm just not cut out for the ones where you lose EVERYTHING on death
