I did try the Microsoft Screen Share app (Windows to Xbox) it works for Xbox controllers and games that donít need keyboard/mouse but is a bit clumsy.

I must admit I'm kind of tempted to get an Xbox One X to do my console gaming on with this. But then I'll have to get a 4k TV as well.

Anyone know how easy or not it is to get PC Game Pass games going through Steam/Steam Link?

I like the way Steam makes non-Xbox Console controllers work properly, and also playing PC games on the telly!
Very easy, just minimise steam and youíll see your desktop. If youíre in big picture go to the exit button and there will be an option to minimise instead.

Also there is a program called uwphook (or similar) that will add the games to your steam library.

However, the biggest thing I struggled with was getting the controller to consistently respond to the Xbox game instead of steam or something else.

Try Old Man's Journey on gamepass, really nice art style, very short (hour or 2) and relaxing to play

@Darth_Flibble Sounds interesting. I quite like short and interesting experiences.

I spotted that Zombie War Trilogy is due to leave, so giving it a try. Not a bad zombie shooter so far.

Fuck me Conker is horrific to revisit now, the under water section is virtually unplayable due to controls and camera and the game isnít very clear at times at all, Iíve had to dip into a guide quite a bit for pointers. I thought it was because I was picking up midway but clearly itís a bit confusing and poorly signposted. I donít know how we coped tbh

Quite surprised the HD Age of Empires isn't on here. Would love to give that go for nostalgia's sake.

I've only just noticed that Undertale, Timespinner and Unavowed only seem to be available with Ultimate or PC and not standard Game Pass.

It was bound to happen, just as not all the games that come the XBox are on the PC pass. Those games aren't available at all on Xbox not just not on game pass.

Timespinner is available on Xbox, but for some reason not on Xbox Game Pass.

Maybe they are trying to give people more reasons to subscribe to both services (or Ultimate).

It's down to the devs which platforms it goes on, maybe they are still seeing xb1 sales as it's been out less time on that than pc?

@Malek86 Yeah, I was going off the obviously out of date info on wikipedia. It has only been out a month though, probably too soon for the devs to want in on game pass.

    Edit:beaten by a frog.

Yeah, it's definitely to push people towards Ultimate. A bit like the Ultimate exclusive Gears 5 tech test this month.

@robthehermit I dont think its on game pass on the xbox even if you do have ultimate. I think it just says ultimate because that also includes PC. The ones only coming to console also say ultimate but they wont be on PC.

That makes more sense. Early morning reading comprehension fail.

This comment won't help your wallet but it still looks amazing on a 1080p screen. Downsampling the 4k image to 1080p is much more effective than you might think.

Different financial situations and all that, but the X seems very expensive with the supposedly fully BC scarlet due next year.

Yeah, its interesting. On the assumption that Scarlett and PS5 surely canít be more than £500... paying £350 now for something at the end of its lifespan is a little silly.

@Phattso Me too, although I'm hoping for a good deal on the S rather than the X. I only really want it to mess with some stuff on the game pass and some 360 BC. Don't want to spend too much though as I already have a PC and most of the stuff worth having is their too, or coming to it. Same with the BC really, I still have a 360, but apparently then run a little better on the one. I really do need to get round to playing the original Red Dead Redemption.

It would be good to know how long MS intends to support the older platforms though. Sure the Scarlett is supposed to be fully BC, and I have no doubt the launch games (and a little beyond too) will work on both platforms.

But at some point, they will have to drop S support. And eventually, X support too (though I doubt there will be games that only work on X and not on S). The question is when.

Currently you're not allowed to publish a game on Xbox that can only run on the X.
