The duck ends up a fucking monster.

Depends on how you upgrade them but my duck could deliver in most situations

    New additions coming this month:

    Dishonoured 2
    World War Z
    Yooka-Laylee
    Fallout New Vegas
    Felix the Reaper
    Panzer Dragoon Orta

Don't forget The Outer Worlds will be on Game Pass at release, as well.

Playing a bit of World War Z, its 3rd person L4D and if you play it single player you can't pause, also the squad AI will not use heavy weapons or use machine gun turrets, which is pain when the Horde attacks. Sure its not hard to have the AI use this items

The game is just ok, unimaginative zombie cliches like the gas exploder one, the screamer, the armoured charger one (designers really don't put much effort into these)

Worth a mess about if you have gamepass and want to shoot some zombies with friends

While not a new addition I'm giving Steamworld Dig 2 a go and quite enjoying it. Quite relaxed, with some pleasant atmosphere and plays well.

Anyone know if Dirt 2.0 is available for PC game pass yet? Think it was announced a few weeks back.

Nice to see more people getting the chance to play PD: Orta. Amazing game. I had been playing through it again on XB1X with my original disc copy, but will nice to be able to play it without getting off my arse.

As for WWZ, I'd heard some good impressions when it launched, so was keen to give it a shot. Just been playing it this afternoon and it's very very VERY much a rip off of Left 4 Dead, but I really don't see that as a bad thing. Never read the books or watched the Brad Pitt movie, but I'll be honest, I'm loving the game.

Perhaps not quite as polished as L4D, but new levels, new story, and the ability to play it on my 4K screen, it's hitting the spot. Admittedly, only played the online co-op version, but the group of ransoms I was with was surprisingly cooperative.

😂 Thought about editing my post, but I'll leave it as is so your post makes sense 😂

Yep, forced at gunpoint to play non-stop WWZ. Die in the game, die for real. Like the matrix, only less green.

Yeah, I had a go on WWZ earlier, and didn't realise it's oine co-op only. I wouldn't normally go near an online game, but I had a go and it was alright, people seemed to actually be using team work, and the gameplay is quite good fun.

Very strong month for Game Pass

managed to complete WWZ with a friend, its only 4 chapters with 3 levels in each one but the gameplay gets really samey quickly. Look for a key, flip switches then do a last stand. Its good gamepass fodder but glad I didn't buy it as very much a complete one then not play it again

I don't do multiplayer, is WWZ worth a look single player?

    @TechnoHippy

not really as you need more than 1 player using weapon turrets/defence weapons and heavy weapons at points to hold off zombie hordes and the AI will not use them

Thanks - I did just give it a go and solo it's a nightmare. It was better with some randoms online, but a bit too frantic for me.

games leaving end of the month

    doom
    escapists

    grip
    halo wars
    darksiders 2

HW is first party game and aren't they suppose to stay on gamepass? maybe its coming to GwG?

Even if it is, that's not good form.
As a 1st party title it should remain on GP indefinitely as a reason to invest in GP and for anyone that can't get it if it's offered on GwG (new Xbox owners and anyone absent their console for a time).

@Darth_Flibble was that ever confirmed by MS, or was it always just speculation simply on the basis that it's never happened before?

Maybe they are adding the Ultimate Edition of Halo Wars 2. Which also included the first game. GWG doesn't make sense, they are two separate services and there might be more than a few people who are subscribed to only one service.

Maybe the permanence on Game Pass Ultimate is only for titles released by Microsoft Game Studios after it was announced?

In other news- I pre-installed Outer Worlds yesterday, think it was 38Gb but I may have misremembered. In the download queue it showed as ready to launch once partially downloaded, I tried it out on the offchance but they've buttoned it down until the official release date.

    @Malek86

its happened before with other games on GP then turned up on GwG, eg MGS5, no doubt HW will turn up again on GP.

edit: not sure if its ever been confirmed by MS tbh

I don't think they've ever stated that the 1st party titles would remain forever, but as they were 1st party I doubt anyone ever thought they would remove them so didn't bother to ask. It was framed as though they would be a staple of the service.

I'd expect questions to start popping up pretty quickly.

To repeat something that Hebden said was the 1st party rule of Gamepass only something that came into effect when they released Sea of Thieves. I'm not entirely sure but I remember something like that, whatever the case, yes, it is somewhat concerning to hear.

I'm pretty sure that all MS studio games that were released after GP was started are on the service indefinitely

They have never confirmed them being on it indefinitely. They've always been really vague.

Like 'can you please confirm whether first party titles will remain on the service indefinitely'.

'we can confirm that we will continue to support Gamepass every time a first party title is released'. They have never actually confirmed they stay there indefinitely. Not that I have seen.

The question is why are they removing it at all? Surely MS studios isn't asking for money? Did they forget to pay royalties to Ensemble staff?

It's a bit bizarre as it weakens their own platform.

Or did some other publisher demand it be removed before they add a competitor? What the fuck competes with Halo Wars? Console RTS's don't really exist.
