@hedben2013 yeah that's what I mean, tested another 3 months gold after doing the 1 quid offer, didn't work... Should have loaded up beforehand!

The store is being absolutely hammered. Downloads are still as fast as always, but browsing is impossible.

Edit: finally managed to put Metro on queue. Now I can go to sleep.

Wanna do this ultimate trick, shame there's not a half price 12 months gold offer in the E3 sale. Just checked Amazon and 12 months is 58, since fucking when??!! CD Keys have 12 months for 38 but lists the region as EU, don't know if it will work in UK or not.

It will, mate of mine bought that exact one eariler, redeemed fine in Uk.

Wow, that really is an incredible deal. Glad I popped into this thread as I never realised the 1 offer converted your whole Gold membership.

I've now got Gold and Game Pass until Dec 2020 for 1. Just amazing.

Well, of course, I'd already paid for Gold, but I got the 6-months for 15 offer Amazon were doing and for some reason the code they gave me redeemed for 12 months.

Sensational. Just got an extra 12 months gold for 38 to take my gold sub from Oct 2019 expiring thru to October 2020. Already had Gamepass until Dec 2019 from the half price offer a while back. Just merged to ultimate and it's saying I've now paid up with Ultimate until May 2021.

That's 38 fucking well spent and virtually guarantees I'm not actually buying any more games on Xbox (although tempted by Borderlands 3). Plus I've got PC Gamepass too, not that I need it.

Bought 3 years of gold (116, shop around) and applied it to my sub which had lapsed.

Bought ultimate for a pound and it upgraded my sub. I will be charged 10.99 on 9/6/2022 :D

I am an xbox game pass ultimate subscriber.

Now, to get this working on my PC... Looks like you need to use the xbox app on Windows, but that needs the latest build.

Buy more sub BEFORE you upgrade to Ultimate as once done, new subs are applied at a lower ratio.

I bought another year from CDKeys after only re-subbing on Friday myself. Game pass ultimate subscriber until July 2021 now 😀

So wait when you upgrade to Ultimate does it combine the time you had on both Gold and Game Pass subscriptions to get the final amount?

But a years gold for 35 quid from CD keys, and apply to your account. Then do '1 month for 1' offer on the live website, and game pass will be applied for the full length of your sub.

Briefly tried Metro Exodus before heading off this morning. Took about 5 attempts to get it running properly. DLSS looks fucking awful too. Ran okay once it was going though, and looked nice with the DLSS off!

@atothewest Yes, one month of ultimate for each outstanding month on either service, so 1 year gold and 1 year game pass = 2 years ultimate. Up to a maximum of 36 months.

Tempted to try metro on PC but only having a 1060 I suspect it will look better on One X.

Hmm. I want to download Metro, but the install button is greyed out in the MS Store, as are most other Game Pass PC games (except the MS ones like Gears 4 and Forza Horizon). I've also tried downloading the Game Pass Beta app and it won't let me.

    Any suggestions?

Just renewed my Gold so am subscribed until October 2020, but will I have to cancel my existing monthly Game Pass sub for this to work?

@Carlo It's 1803. Looks like it needs to be 1903, but when I run a check for updates it comes back saying I'm all up-to-date.

Do I need to be part of the Insider programme for this? Recent news stories suggest not as 1903 is meant to have been pushed out widely. Just not for me, perhaps?

Yes it definitely cancels the other subs for you as soon as you do the 1 Ultimate offer

Sooooo, I bought a years live just before price hike, and I was sitting on six months gamepass code I got dirt cheap last year. Also Id just gone over to a New Years sub, plus all the extra months Id accrued via recurring billing bollox (1 yr subs currently still adding a month btw).

In short I am all subbed up to ultimate now till feb 2022 🤣🤣🤣 I love it when a plan comes together.

@uiruki the Windows Store is the biggest problem with this deal. I play all my GP games on Xbox, even those that would look a lot better on PC, because the store is awful, launching the games can take several attempts, and there's often some kind of stuttering. I might even play Metro on Xbox, depending on how it runs on my PC.

The only exception was FH4. Wish more games had that sort of optimization (and even that wasn't perfect - it had an annoying tendency to reset some of my graphic options after closing the game).

Is this a bug then? Surely that is not supposed to happen, would MS be able to do anything about it, once done anyway.

@DUFFMAN5 no, it's a deal. Since they can't really take away the subscription time you had already paid for, they let you keep all the months you already had.

It works out well for them anyway, since it means you'll be tied to the ecosystem for longer.
