I did this recently after our boy finally showed interest. There were more jokes than I remembered tbh!

Will defo be watching series 1 before this.
So things noticed in the trailer:
I assume the mysterious woman is Ahshoka Tano.
Humour looks intact from the boxing pit fight scene at least.
The Razor Crest seems damaged and adrift in the opening scene.
The Bantha looks like he speaks one of Mando's lines when he says 'where?'
I think I am in lust with the female Mando
Also - hope they continue using the concept art at the end credits.

I second the want for concept art in the end credits, I thought it was a great touch. I also really liked the opening theme tune so hope they haven't messed with it to 'improve' it.

The one thing that bugs me is, why don't they seem to know about jedi's or the force where they are? Especially the ones that used to be rebels. And it's not long since return of The Jedi but nobody has a clue about them.

The Jedi were wiped out in Episode 3. During the OT they were all thought dead, and whatís known about them is legend or myth. Only those close to Lukeís part of the rebellion would have had contact, the rest of the rebellion would just get hearsay and treat it as rumour or stories.

Rey is the same at the start of Episode 7.

Episode 3 is only 20 years before the OT. Its always been a stupid thing that no one knows about them.

They do know of them, just very little, and the stories were likely thought to be bollocks about magic space monks with laser swords.
Very few people - like a tiny, tiny percentage of the galaxy - would have ever seen them first-hand, and fewer of those would have ever communicated about them across the galaxy. Most of Star Wars is backwater planets with poor folk struggling to survive.

Except they had a Jedi council on the planet that ruled the Galaxy and had direct influence over the government and were used as escorts/security.

Itís like people thinking the secret service, MI5 or the lizard people are made up.

Yeah, kinda. But how many people had been to or know much about Coruscant? When you look at planets like Tattooine, which was outer rim and filled with either poor people scraping by via farming, or smugglers scraping by through crime, thereís very little crossover to the capital city planet. And thatís one planet of how many in the galaxy?

It seems daft, but we follow the Jedi through every story and know every detail. The way itís positioned in-fiction is pretty consistent, we just have to go with it.

And really, is it so hard to believe? Go to parts of bible belt America and ask them about Mi5, or their own government, etc, and see what they tell you.

Especially when the Mandalorian and jedi were enemies, and mando doesn't have a clue about them.

It's not a big deal, just a little stupid niggle.

But the people running the galaxy in Ep 4 through 6 have a 7-foot tall armoured dude walking around choking people at a distance by squeezing his fingers and catching laser blasts with his hands.

Surely if Mike Pence did stuff like that even the people in the bible belt would know about that...And probably worship him...

Also the old dude in Ep 4 says "May the force be with you" before they fly off...Maybe the pilots all thought he was going senile and decided not to make too big a deal out of it...

How many people see Vader doing any of that stuff and survive it? Or even see Vader at all really?
