Cruella seems a bit pointless. I mean, do we really care or need to know her origins...? That said, I actually quite enjoyed the first Maleficent film (never watched the sequel), so maybe this will be better than my immediate thoughts would suggest...? |

24 is on there. Loved that series. There was only one shit season for me which was basically Meet The Bauer’s which had his dad and brother in it.
One almighty binge watch incoming. -

Registered 4 years agoFirst few episodes are mostly filler and scene setting but then gets pretty good, and it is at least trying to do something different than the play it safe predictable MCU of phases 2 and 3. That being said it’s definitely something that’s just a one off event show, I don’t think there’s much there that’s inherently rewatchable once it’s over and done. -

24 was basically, run around for 42 minutes, torture someone and get some info for the next episode.

Registered 6 years agoIf anyone really wants to then you can watch some of the star stuff now, you just have to search for it and it not be above a certain rating. Stumbled across it just now searching for something else.
Seems a bit random what is there but Burn Notice and Planet of the Apes are as well as some others.

Registered 15 years agoQuite a random selection on Star in the UK. Guessing we will have to wait a while until things like Alien, Predator and Die Hard etc appear due to pre-existing contracts. -

The series that pretty much put me off drama and most fiction for life - I never EVER watch anything like this anymore.

It promised so much, and I was really interested in it. My late wife and I used to discuss it during the week as we awaited the next episode.
A mid season break contained interviews with the cast and creatives, who promised that, unlike Lost, they had a really good ending in mind. A second series was also planned.
The final episode destroyed all my faith as it really did exactly the opposite of what was promised, and offered no real answers. And the second series was never realised.
I don’t want to spoil it for you - I did enjoy it up until the end, but it contributed to my aversion to fiction.

It was one of the things that solidified my hate for sci-fi as a backdrop for turgid drama.

The setup is that the most mysterious and interesting event in the history of the world happens and we spend 90% of the series wondering whether the guys wife will bang that guy or whether the lamewad doctor will successfully stalk the japanese girl.
Fuck that show. -

I liked the first four. Four is so ridiculous it’s both perfect and the natural ending for the series. I’ve never even considered watching the 5th one.

Australia has all the Alien movies, that latest Terminator was there, but, most importantly, season 2-6 of Agents Of Shield. -
Firefly is on there!
I realise I should have watched it long, long ago, but I can finally remedy that oversight!
