There are quite a few Prime shows that I keep meaning to get round to watching but by the time I've finished a Netflix series, another crops up that interests me more. |

Which says a lot about what I think of the whole thing. -

Registered 18 years agoYeah, I tried to find it all last year, Fox have their own dedicated sub iirc. The first 10 series are gold. -

Registered 19 years agoI have no interest in 2+ subs. After Endgame, I think I am probably done with super hero movies anyway so very unlikely Disney will get my streaming money. And Star Wars? Lol. -

Netflix has too much stuff that you can put on as background fodder very conveniently while you're half-doing something else to bother cancelling it.
Netflix has too much good stuff to bother with cancelling it.
The amount of legit *good* stuff if actually a small percentage of the amount that's there. And as the entirely services is built around binge-watching, it's easy to burn through it.
I swear there's a halo effect where people seem to give netflix the benefit of the doubt. Yes there is good stuff, but there is a lot of stuff which is mediocre to shit. -

Registered 16 years agoAlso, fuck getting multiple subs.
Once you get to 3-4 of the buggers, you're pretty much up to what a cable/satellite sub would cost, and they usually have on-demand services now.
The whole attraction of netflix initially was it was cheap and had lots of stuff. I'm not paying multiple people small amounts for multiple portals for different brands of guff. -

Will get the full trailer for The Mandalorian on Sunday. People are getting excited as apparently Jon Favreau “brings it” when he has something to show. Whoever’s attending is hoping they’ll get the first full episode but that’s probably just wishful thinking.
Service doesn’t look too bad and the price seems reasonable. -

Launching in the US of A first then a "global rollout" to follow. No idea when we are going to be seeing it.
So when are they launching here or is it just going to netflix like Titans, Star Trek

This was an old post, but while this sucks, this is definitely what’s going to happen. The whole reason Netflix started making their own content was because they knew all the other providers would eventually set up their own platforms and pull their stuff off Netflix. Amazon, Hulu, Apple and even YouTube are all doing the same thing now. That’s why Disney have been so aggressive in buying all these providers.

Subscription services are the future and sadly in the near term at least, it’s going to be a bit shit for the customer as we’ll have to choose which services we want and will all miss out on a lot of content unless we have multiple subs.
But yeah, Disney is definitely one of the ones I’ll consider signing up for. -

Although, if you remember how long it took Netflix to make it over here, you probably want to factor in a nordVPN sub, too -

I doubt Disney+ will be doing a 4K HDR tier. I'm already subbed to Disney Life for the kids, if it's the same but more for a quid I'm down for that.
