I’m not going to spend my New Years dats trawling through forum threads. However, back around the time of the TFA I thought Rey was a Palpatine. Based on her fighting style with the lightsaber. Perhaps, guys, there’s more of a planned story going on here then you’re willing to admit. Rey’s theme has long been noted to have similarities to Palpatine’s. |

Registered 16 years agoWhen they announced palpatine was back, I assumed she would be a female clone of his. It would probably have made her ‘defy your nature’ journey, her parents being nobodies and ultimately choosing her family name make a bit more sense.
It’s not even much of a change, just a couple of lines of dialogue and suddenly you aren’t spending half the movie wondering who the emperor was banging. -

Registered 12 years agoIf they go old, old, Old Republic down the line with a new trilogy, I'll call it now - Sheev will be the puppetmaster going back 1000s of years.
He'll be the original dark side source and he'll have had the ability to wear many faces, which alongside force healing, will allow for anything to happen in the universe.

Registered 17 years agoJust got back from seeing it. Now to enjoy watching the spoiler filled neckbeard and man-boy rants.
I missed a short part of of it at the start where it looks as though Kylo Ren fixes his helmet and Lando just shows up from out of nowhere. Speaking of which, I knew any kind of logic or semblance of a plot was going to get thrown out after the opening crawl/scene.
It was a fun romp though. Definitely going to see this in IMAX again. -
