Having been a PC gamer for years, you'd have to have a brass band playing next to me before it would annoy me. Honestly, GPU whine and mystery sounds have been a staple of PC gaming since someone realised you could open up the case. And with PCs you're usually sitting pretty close to the hardware! Whilst I'm sure there are a few Ps5s out there with genuinely noisy whine, I suspect the vast, vast majority are well within the thresholds of normal standards.

I think they're all probably ok with volume - even the loud ones don't seem to be.
It's just whether the frequency is the one that makes you want to claw your brain out. That's going to be individual for a lot of cases.

It's quite impressive how pathetic you have to be as a grown adult, to anonymously create an account to post vile comments on some stranger on a forum that you dislike's YouTube page. I can only pity such scum.

I had my gaming PC setup at almost the same distance as the PS5 and it was great because I had large case fans on a silent profile, spinning slowly so not disturbing at all.
Everyone has different sensitivities of course but when you don't live alone, it's important that the device doesn't make a bothersome amount of noise.

I'm talking about someone, obviously from this forum who created a Youtube account called "Ecosseisa Nonce" to post comments, calling me a nonce, referring to family members of mine etc.

Reading between the fairly obvious lines: AB posted a video on YT and pasted in this thread, someone here made an Ecosse-based account on YT and posted shit on said video.

    Edit: Yeah, there you go.

On the positive, this would at least take your mind off being annoyed by the PS5 fan noise

I can definitely NOT hear my PS5 over the sound of the DIESEL ENGINES IN SNOWRUNNER. Have it on PC, rebought the premium edition at the weekend in the PS+ sale. Sadly no PS5 version, and it's locked to 30, but anyway. It's obviously the Game of the Generation.

It really is, criminally underrated. The Souls of driving games. Real shame itís not 60fps (yet....?).

I've not found a single hint that they plan this, sadly, but if there is one driving game where I can live with 30 fps, it's this. :)

It really is underrated. It's such a unique mixture of being infinitely chilled, as well as nail-bitinlgy thrilling at the same time. One of those games I won't uninstall until the sequel hits.

The premium edition is almost broken, though, it comes with an ultra-useful monstrosity with multi-axle steering and a crane at the back. Even if I just sell it, I am set! :)

Holy shit, you've just reminded me that I have Mudrunner in my library, which was one of those the PS4 is so loud it's unplayable games.

If anything, it's like Death Stranding without the bobbins story. Or piss grenades.

Just picked up the PS4 version of Doom Eternal for £15.00 from Amazon over the weekend, specifically to play on my PS5 from the external 4TB hard drive.

The game mostly runs fine but I am noticing what I can only describe as slowdown but it's weird because it only seems to occur when jumping up directly in front of a wall. Not sure why this happens as the GPU load would be lighter due to having less to draw on screen but the game feels noticeably laggier as if the framerate is dropping below 60 fps. I came across this while trying to jump up to a ledge but have experienced it frequently during my playthrough of the game's first two (very large) levels. During actually gameplay when shooting and running away from walls the game seems to hold 60 fps fine as you'd expect from a 1440p PS4 Pro game targetting 60 fps on the PS5.

Also, less of an issue but still something I noticed was some graphical glitching on background scenery and sometimes near the edges of doors. It's far less of a distraction than the framerate drops near walls but having never played the game on my PS4 Pro I'm curious if this is just how the PS4 version is or if this is a PS5-specific issue.

Game is updated to v1.12 by the way.

    Anyone noticed these issues?

If you find youíre still into it I would really prod you towards Snowrunner. Theyíve all been amazing at their core since Spintires, but Snowrunner finally ties all that to a very coherent feeling game.

@mothercruncher Noted, thanks! I've hovered over the buy button for Snowrunner a few times, but held back becuase Mudrunner (plus its paid DLC) is mostly unplayed.
