    Newcastle Brown! I used to love that stuff. Was my go to drink in my early 20s

    Haven't drank it in years now though.

    Yeah looking forward to trying it. Nearly bought it a few times on the boys Switch so glad I held out.

    Sadly unlike Switch they don't support cross-save from PC, but I'm up for a restart - I reached the point on PC where runs started to get samey as you're constantly looking for particular builds, which often ends in just spamming the special.

    @Decks its better that you did, it plays way better on a bigger screen with a proper pad than it does on the switch (have pc and switch version).

    Yeah, there's enough button pushing and stick aiming that you want to have a full size controller. Also you want the soundtrack (if not the dodgy accents) on proper speakers as it's excellent.

    Same but I would argue the reverse. I played it far, far more on the switch as it's better for picking up for a quick blast.

    Although I do have a split pad welded to it which does completely mitigate your second point.

    Sort of worried how good GamePass is looking. Hades and many others are basically free on it.

    Rather tempted to get a Series X. Forza, Halo, all of the decent stuff they announced today, all on GamePass.

    It's nuts for all the new games alone let alone all the back catalogue stuff.

    @Worlds_

    Apparently Game have extended their ďSeries S for £99 when you trade inĒ offer to the 21st June.

    If youíre after a Gamepass machine and can live without the extra shinies the X would give you, I think itís a good deal.

    (Assuming you have something to trade, of course.)

    I mainly got it to give my boy a Fortnite / FIFA box that was a bit better and quicker than my old PS4, but I have to admit the amount of stuff on Gamepass has torn me away from the PS5 tooÖ

    Yeah it's an excellent console. I've no interest in any of the stuff on there myself but every time I have a go on the boy's I'm really impressed with how good it is for how much we paid.

    I probably play on my Series S more than the PS5, tbh. But, to reopen an old wound, its probably also the reason Im struggling to stomach actually paying for games on the PS5.

    I bought an S for gamepass and it was worth it, though it is the least played of the 3 consoles.

    I think I'll eventually get myself one for the bedroom. Every time I look at Gamepass I'm seriously impressed bit I think I'd bounce off games very easily having that sort of access to so much new stuff.

    That's my problem with it - I played a lot for 20 minutes and then moved on. Some stuff I think I'd like to go back but don't have an Xbox anymore.
    The games that I really wanted to play I ended up buying on PS4 to put the time into them.

    The value is huge in terms of choice, and there's a lot of good 3rd party stuff coming day 1 this/next year.

    Yeah I look at something like Yakuza: Like a Dragon which I think they just announced for it? Genuinely finished up being one of my favourite games ever but it does start very, very slowly and I do wonder if I hadn't chucked £40 at it would I have taken the time to settle into it? Probably not with a bajillion other games to have a look at on demand.

    And there's a huge benefit for MP/co-op games as you know all your mates have access to it to play together. That was a big deal for Outriders, and Back 4 Blood will be pretty popular.

    Honest to god the rate mine goes through them is absolutely insane. We only give him a couple of hours a day on it and almost every day he comes downstairs telling me about this new game he's downloaded and is playing. When I ask him about it the next day, he doesn't have a fucking clue what I'm going in about as he's tried another 4 since then.

    Flipside, Im finding not having to begrudgingly play something just because I paid for it quite liberating. When something clicks, I play it through like any other game but I now dont feel guilty saying 'fuck this' when something wastes my time.

    Yeah fair one. It really is as much of a first world problem as you can get, really. I think my overriding 'issue' with it is that I've so little free time these days I'm almost in fear of most of it going to waste when I get it.

    @SolidSCB

    Thatís kids though. My son is just not interested in a good narrative driven game or RPG but will play endless repetitive games of Fortnite in Creative mode with his friends. The social side and emergent gameplay is more important to him than story or characters.

    When I occasionally play Fortnite with him, I find myself meticulously doing all the challenges and find it really annoying when I get shot at by some other child.

    We just have totally different perspectives.

    Which Iím fine with, btw!

    I got an S and Gamepass but hardly touch it. A. generally, the Microsoft exclusive IPís leave me cold, and them getting Bethesda does nothing to change this, and B. I do the same as a lot of people- look at a game for 10 minutes then delete it.
    The initial OMFG has dissipated and Iím left with trying the odd Indy and being relieved I didnít buy it.
    The S is a great little console though for the price.

    Spiderman MM, Returnal and Ratchet.

    Sackboy if you have someone to play co-op with.

    Demon Souls if you like from games.

    Shitloads of ps4 exclusives if you haven't played them.
