Iím pretty sure I convinced Decks to buy Cyberpunk so Iíve already got that one covered. I donít think Decks will ever value my early access opinion on anything ever again.

They were better because WRC9 is pretty awful on a wheel. If you play one of the Dirt Rallys on a decent wheel it's no comparison to playing on a pad imo.

Ha, I'll probably buy it again when the PS5 version comes out in 2035.

I am really tempted to finally get a wheel for this year's F1. They've improved pad support a ton over the last few years but I still get well jell watching people in online lobbies go through certain corners smooth as silk while I'm twitching like a motherfucker. Up to last year, you still couldn't even take the hairpin at Monaco on a pad.

I bought the Pulse headphones on a whim. They're quite nice, haven't been able to give them a proper workout to see how they stack up but they seem ok.

Returnal really shows off how good they're, and currently shitting myself playing the new Resi Evil with them on.

    Great headphones for the price.

I've been saying that for ages regarding Gran Turismo Sport. I don't really have anywhere to attach them to, and like hell am I getting a full on racing rig. But the fact that I still think about it years later means I'll probably get one when Fanatec and Polyphony announce their Gran Turismo 7 wheel. 👀

You need to get a stand if you're going to get one. Wheelstand pro are great and pretty cheap.

I don't get that much use out of the wheel, but when a good racing game comes along that has good wheel support there really is few things as fun in gaming imo. GT Sport was fantastic on a wheel too so I can't fucking wait for GT7.

This feels really really nice on the wheel if that helps. Massive improvement to the last one I played.

Yeah the only thing that's holding me back is that I'll definitely end up turning it into a full setup and be one of those stories in the Sun of how the Mrs kicked me out because I secretly spent our savings turning the living room into a Mercedes F1 simulator.

Do you have the older belt-driven FFB wheel (G9 or something) or the fancier G923?

Oh it absolutely gets it claws into you. When I spent 180 quid on a replica Ferrari 599 alcantara rim for it last year I knew it was time to rein it in.

My old RS Clio had Alcantara seats. Itís made every other car seat since seem like youíre sat on sandpaper coated in dog shit.

I'm glad Fanatec is currently in a generational transition, cos I'd be right there with you.

I concur. I had a WSP and a logitech wheel setup when Project Cars launched. It was a great setup. Foldable as well to save some space.

The story mode thing in F1 is surprisingly engaging.

Yeah I wrote it off as a bit of a gimmick but all the reviews I've read suggest it's actually pretty decent.

Donít forget CEX has wheels, sometimes they are a fair bit cheaper and you have 14 days to return if condition isnít what you expected.. plus you can use that as a test drive to see if you get on with it anyway

Nah doesn't really interest me to be honest. Can barely tell the difference between 60 and 120. My receiver doesn't support 120 passthrough but the few times I've plugged directly into the TV to try stuff at 120 my whelms
    have been pretty low.

I have a playseat challenge to go with my wheel and peddles, folds away nicely into the cupboard with the vacuum cleaner and ironing board.

I bought a gear shift attachment and bodged a connection to the playseat, which is ok as long I don't shift gears too aggressively. Should probably buy a proper attachment at some point.

Problem is, I rarelybbother to get the playseat out, had a prolonged use for project cars campaign and not much since. Tried dirt rally vr using it all, was fucking ace, until my head spun out and I felt sick as a dog from 15 minutes with the psvr on.

Deffo, recommend a playseat challenge if you can get a decent deal. Think I got mine for about 130 quid (5 years ago).

Haven't got Returnal, on the list for when I make headway with the backlog. Spidey MM sounded good though, definitely a step up from my old PS4 ones. It's an unnecessary purchase really, as they were fine for the amount of time I use headphones but new shiny.

I'm pretty blown away by the Pulse headset, but then I've never used anything for gaming before.
They certainly crank up the intensity of Returnal up to 11, but I can't wear them for long periods.
Not that I've got a massive head, more my lugs I think.

@spookyxelectric Don't know if you seen it but the Fanatec/GT7 wheel supposedly leaked the other day. It's based on the CSL DD - direct drive with 5Nm of torque. Going by the price of the DD wheelbase I reckon the GT7 bundle will be £500-600 with pedals and wheel included.
