What is the story with the Tushima Directors upgrade I have the PS4 version, searched on the store and cannot see a version to upgrade it directly to PS5, is it just upgrade the PS4 version and play on PS5, if so that is a bit shit. Sure I remember something about a version upgrading haptics and stuff without the new island content for PS5. Trying to work out WTF is going on with these unnecessarily convoluted |

Registered 12 years agoYou've got to wait until it's actually released for the direct PS5 upgrade to appear IIRC. They've completely fluffed it. -

Registered 20 years agoThis month aside (though I must try PvZ before passing judgment) I think PSPlus has been pretty good since the PS5 launched.
Even when the PS5 game has been weak, there was usually a good PS4 title to save the month.
Just not this month. I don’t know, maybe the deal with Hunter’s Arena was done ages ago before anyone realised it was crap. -

Registered 12 years agoYeah it's been decent since the PS5 launched IMO, I've had a lot of value out of it. There are always going to be duff months. I'm interested to try the tennis game and I quite liked the only PvZ game I've played of them so it might not be so bad just yet. -

Registered 14 years ago@Gruff There is a PS4-PS5 DLC upgrade but I don't think it's available until the full PS5 game comes out. It will cost more than just buying the PS4 DLC. -

I tell myself no, but I'll be straight onto buying an SSD after work. -

Registered 8 years ago@SolidSCB You can buy a heatsink separately and stick one on. Just needs to be a certain size.

Nice one for that. Looks like it might even work out a bit cheaper if I get one separate. I'm beyond clueless with this shit. Spot the console gamer.

Registered 3 years agoI remember being amazed the first time I swapped out the HDD on my PS3.
I kind of want to install a new SSD in my PS5, but they're really expensive. Especially knowing I'd probably go for the 2TB one for future proofing. -

Registered 12 years agoYeah I really can't justify a 2TB not even a year after dropping 450 on the console. Feels like I'm majorly upgrading something that's obsolete already.
The 1TB I can probably write off as more of a folly. Think realistically that will be all I need anyway. -

Registered 6 years agoI've got really fast broadband so it's not bothering me much at the minute but I'll definitely get a 1TB one the firmware comes out. How much of a fuck on is putting a heatsink on? -

Registered 12 years agoYeah I'm looking into it and it really doesn't seem to be the faff I had in my head. Seems like you get majorly ripped off buying a drive with a sink packed in too. -

Registered 14 years agoAs long as I don’t start playing Destiny 2 again or starting CoD Warzone (which I have no interest in) I don’t think I am going to need an SSD extension. I can live with the hassle of deleting stuff once I finish them. And at the moment I am not in danger of filling the onboard SSD.
Hopefully by the time I will want more memory there will be a PS5 Pro / Slim model with much more onboard storage. -

Registered 17 years agoBest thing I did on my Series X was just choke down the rage and pony up £175 for the official expansion. Much happier with the breathing room I have now, and others in the household can have their shit on there as well without incurring an Official Stage 2 Storage Meltdown from me.
If you can find an appropriate drive for the right money on your PS5s, which has less storage than the SX from the get go, then do it. Do it immediately.

Registered 15 years ago@Phattso I did the same for my Series S. Which makes even less sense on paper as I should have just gone for the Series X in the first place. But I have a 1080p tv I'm happy with and I love the form factor of the Series S. Anyway, so much happier with the system with the extra storage. It makes such a difference for me. If you've got the cash it's really worth it. -

Registered 12 years agoThe TV speakers setup is quite cool. You hold the pad up in front of your face and the mic picks up some loud sounds shot out from your TV speakers to test the acoustics of the room.
There was a definite noticeable difference when I set it up with certain sounds sounding closer and further away. But it also gave me a horrendous sound bug occasionally on F1 2021 where it was obviously trying to mimic the effect of hearing another car on a different part of the track but just spat it out at full volume through both speakers intermittently.
Could be cool if they iron it out though. -

That’s an existing bug with F1 and 3D Audio, now you get to experience it with TVs as well as headphones lol.

@SolidSCB Sounds (no pun intended) a bit like when you set up Sonos speakers.
Has this been released then, or is it a beta or something like that? -
I got one of those beta invites via email. Comes as a code to redeem on the store.
Trophy list looks miles better too, back to a list rather than massive tiles. Haven't noticed much else up to now.
