The open world looks terrible. Looks like they have taken the worst of ubi design and put it in their game.

The environment certainly looks beautiful. As a game it's looking a lot better than a year ago. The zombie horde thing isn't my sort of thing though.

Honestly, not really looked at this over the last year. Just get the feeling itís going to be pretty average.

Ok so I did watch that, the bike looks like it could be fun to rag around in.

April 26. If they get the gunplay and vehicle handling right, we could be on to a surprise hit.

I'll probably be playing this next week but what I've seen of it kind of looks like Last of Us lite squeezed through a generic open world template. Going through all the usual motions of complete this mission ,unlock that camp, do this quest, unlock that upgrade, collect this tat, gain that skill.

I'm looking forward to it. First proper outing on the ps4 for months.

I donít think this will be day one for me. Iíd have preferred something like TLOU, and not a sprawling open world where I imagine Iíll be stopping every few minutes to down zombies...

Is there anyone alive who isn't sick of zombies yet?

Yeah I'll be waiting on this one I think. If it gets consistent 9/10 then I'll look forward to it down the line. Otherwise will probably give it a miss.

Review embargos don't bother me, even massive surefire games are often embargoed to the last minute but sometimes stuff isn't reviewed at all, especially on EG. I'm still waiting on reviews for World War Z

I'm actually not sick of them, I just kind of like Zombie narratives and scenarios - I'm thinking of picking up World War Z and looking forward to Turtle Rock's new one. But technically the Freakers aren't zombies - they're alive and just swarm.

I think almost every video game has an equivalent enemy type with the same core behaviours though. They're impossible to get away from as they provide a valuable gameplay experience.

It's potentially interesting if stuff I've saw in prior footage is actually in the final game as part of playable sequences.

I missed out on Dead Rising so a World of massive zombie mobs would still be quite fresh for me. I wish it didn't remind me so much of other games though, the enemies are practically indistinguishable from those found in many, many games, Left 4 Dead for instance.

It really needed some sort of unique idea to tie everything together and get people's interest, Days Gone fades into the background somewhat.

I still play quite a bit of State of Decay 2 so am up for more zombie open world survival stuff. I quite like the whole loop of finding a safe place, scavaging for supplies, keeping a group alive and survivor conflicts.

Been saying the same thing about superhero movies for the past six years.

At least with superhero films you can have some kind of variety. Every zombie thing is exactly the same thing.

Left4dead was the high point in zombie games for me. I dont actually mind them but not many stand out these days.

I agree. Plus the lead character is called Deacon St Jonh. DEACON ST. JOHN.

    Yah.

I'm not a fan of stealth sections in games and this looks like it has a few.
