    Ah, sorry.

    989 Studios was a division of Sony that published the Syphon Filter games. Sony bend was the dev of those games.

    Nice one. I loved the SF games, brilliant including the vita ones, maybe not the one on ps2 though.

    Went in to a cave last night to gets Nero point. Turns out there was a horde hibernating in there! They chased me out whilst I was frantically dropping explosives etc.

    I lost them and went back in the cave and got my point. Didn't realise they'd come back in! I was genuinely scared as I realised from the noise they were coming down the tunnel.

    Some lucky melee, rolling, running and climbing and I got out alive with about 5 health. Was so intense. Thank god I'd upgraded my stamina and roll abilities.

    @Bichii

    I know mate, does get the old blood pumping somewhat ;)

    I was riding out with Mike this morning, only to have him continually shout that he was either injured, taking fire of warning of a horde approaching...poor old dear lost his marbles ;)

    A good chunk into the "main story" which I have to say is brilliant and brilliantly paced, can't wait to found out what gives. I do have a few hypotheses.

    Main story wise I just got some dynamite from a cave after getting flares. How far am I in?

    Maybe a couple back from me. I have 4 "hidden" trophies to unlock (I think) and then one saying complete the story. Hours wise Derbs stated still a good amount to go.

    About half way.

    Loving this game. Some encounters are tense as hell. Liking the sparse resources so far as it's made gunfights quite tactical and making every shot count. Nice mission structure as well.

    @Addy__
    Indeed mate. I'm playing on normal, I probably could ramp that to the next level now. Resources are plentiful, not sure if that reduces them, which I could live with. But I'm unsure I want to increase enemy health too much though, as fighting some of the bigger ones/other enemy types can already be a little tricky in the field.
    The story is the absolute draw for me.

    It does happen a lot. Even worse when you get voice lines from Rippers who are not there or at least not in proximity on the map. Small price to pay though for an otherwise really enjoyable game :)

    It's Rikki! Get it right :).

    Half way is a bit off putting. Making me think it's going to be too drawn out. Hopefully not though as I'm still loving it. All the characters are so well done.

    Im at about the same point, was hoping I was further in, but still enjoying it. I have a lot of affection for this game. Not quite sure why!

    The “ride me more than your bike” scene is a good example of why I guess, utter insanity.

    Err I can't remember a ride me more than your bike scene!? Sounds immense.

    It's an odd scene that I remember a reviewer calling out as a reason against it (related to writing and character) but it gets an explantion later in the game that removes a lot of wtf about it.

    Not just the dialogue, also the weird fidgety priest and the now standard bonkers voice acting.

    I love it.

    I'm past that bit, as you say adds context, not that I was even slightly bothered by it.

    It is not as jaring as THAT scene in Wolfie 2, I did not see that coming ;)

    I'm assuming Deacon and boozer make sweet sweet love by the end.

    I'm past the ride me like a bike scene, a crushing disappointment. :)

    Brokeback Boozer

    @Harry
    He was fecking me off no end with that "Booze-man" and the same quote when a Genny needs some gas!

    What a great nickname Boozer is, superb stuff!

    We've got someone at work who's nickname is Shagger, which is pretty funny. She doesn't like it though.

    When Deacon is asked where the nickname ‘boozer’ comes from his reply is something like:

    ‘How the hell should I know! Y’know what? Don’t ask!’

    The mind boggles.

    Guess I just finished act 2. I hope it doesn't go on too long. I'm loving it but there's only so long you can keep me interested.

    @Bichii

    Act 2 ? can you let me know, what you assume that to be, behind a spoiler tag of course. I think I'm still ahead of you. On the trophies I have 3 "hidden ones, which I assume are story related" and then a game complete one, is that were you are ?

    How many camps have you unlocked ?

    I do kind of get what you mean about not outstaying its welcome. I am very much enjoying and have enjoyed but it is a very long game it would seem. I have already sold to a mate, told him I would be done this week. Might have to pour a good few hours in over the weekend.

    As a reminder, after the credits roll there are a handful more missions that continue the story.
