Cool. Sod it. I'm going to do it next time I fire this up. I'll get the fuckers while they sleep. I might try the one on the train in Cascade as well.

If you run far enough away they chill out and go back to where they came from. I think there's 40 odd in total. :)

@wuntyate They do vary in size luckily. Brilliant game. I finished it months ago and still go back to it.

That sounds like a brilliant offer. Where do I fill in my bank details?

Killed the death train horde. Not cleanly, but it's done. Short while later i attack a camp as a horde decides to. They see me first and run at me so i get on my bike and drive right through the middle of the camp. It was beautiful.

Man, I've never so actively hated the end of the game I really enjoyed. Just two hours of sub COD shooting against bullet sponge enemies. Probably not helped by the fact I had previously killed the Horde who would have been the main threat in the penultimate mission, so it was all a bit anticlimactic on the Freaker side

But got my Platinum (my 99th on PS4) so happy about that

99 Platinums! Wow! And I was proud of having 16.

I've started to get some frame drops when riding the bike now, but it's only started happening since unlocking the third camp and surrounding areas of the map. It's still not bad enough to affect my enjoyment. Oddly, it doesn't seem to happen during scripted story missions.

I'm not sure how the frame rate remains so stable when encountering hordes!?

@Blackmarsh63 it's to unlock a skin on call of duty. It takes a shit load of work to unlock but its ugly as hell anyway so I'm not sure why anyone would pay for it.

@tadejpogacar I would actually leave it alone, as killing it early leads to.....oddness towards the end of the game.

Ha, another horde down. Heard the telltale sound of a load of them and spied them all feeding on the opposite side of a canyon. 3 pipebombs then i shot the rest with a rifle.

This is fast becoming one of my favourite games. Bloody brilliant.

The hordes are definitely the best bits.
Days gone was a little hard done by in the reviews I think.

I love it. Even how you get different credits with each camp. For example my bike is fucked but I'm near tucks camp and i have a load of credits there so instead of using scrap to fix it i head there and get it sorted.

3rd horde down. Another wee one. Spotted feeding near a petrol station and had enough stuff on me to take them on. Still ended up with me using nearly everything I had though. Tense.

I'm only engaging when I'm confident I can get them. Other than that I'm getting the hell out of there.

Although there was a scary bit near a sawmill. Activated a Nero checkpoint and missed a speaker. The amount of freakers it attracted wasn't funny.

Still at lost lake. Fair amount to do but still loving it. Especially since those bad frame rate issues on the bike got resolved.

I thought I was starting to run into frame rate problems a few days back, but it only lasted for one play session and I haven't seen any since. Overall the game is running very smoothly for me.

I've been really impressed with the environments, weather effects and especially character models and animation during cutscenes.

I'm still at Lost Lake too, although I occasionally have to go all the way back to the hot springs to get jobs from Tucker. Feels like a long way!

Just travelled south this morning. Big bloody game. I presume I still have a hell of a long way to go. Still very much loving it however. It's all I've played for weeks. The story strands all take their time moving forward but I really like the pace. Lost Lake felt epic with all that went on while I was there.

some proper pish missions in this - especially on hard 2, the fight with carlos was very annoying. the general gameplay is pretty fun though

@tadejpogacar Ah see I'm just playing it on normal. I figured as it's quite a big game I couldn't be bothered with any retrying. Subsequently I was a little underwhelmed by that fight to say the least! Took about 30 seconds!

    Finished this last weekend.
I bounced after the first 20 hours, and then went back recently and played through the rest.
It takes far too long to get going, but once it did I enjoyed it, but it would be a much better game if they removed the padding which doubles the playtime, without offering any variety in gameplay whatsoever.
Even the hordes, with the exception of a couple like the sawmill, play out the same way, lobbing molotov's and ploughing in machine gun rounds.
I'd be interested to see a sequal which takes the best elements, and build something overall more interesting and varied.

Ive just picked it up for £15 not sure what to expect as it got pretty slated at launch and... I donít get it. Why did it get so slated? Iíve just driven to the Lost Lake camp so Iím about 10 hours in and I really like it! Havenít tried to take on a horde yet as my weapons are all a bit shit and Iíve only just got my stamina up where I can confidently outrun them in a couple of stints, but yeah. I just donít get the scorn.

Yeah his vocal performance is all over the place, but I feel like thatís the director(s?) fault for not giving him consistent direction and keeping the tone appropriate to how the performance is going to be used.
