Registered 10 years agoThis looks very fun from the trailers shown so far but I'm going to hold off until I get a new gaming PC. I really don't get on with fast paced FPS games on console - the last Doom game in particular I found too awkward on controller for the pace of the game. -

The original game had its flaws and the RPG elements were undercooked but the core gameplay was great fun. -

Registered 2 years agoEasily my most hyped game of 2019, the main avalanche studio haven't ever made a bad game and JC2 +Mad Max are 2 of my favourite games ever. Combine that with the shooting from ID and it's going to be amazing I reckon -

Last I remember of Rage was the weird lightgun version Jesse Pinkman was playing in Breaking Bad.

It uses Avalanche's open world game engine (I forget the name). Just Cause games tend to have performance issues - probably physics related - but Mad Max was super smoorh. -

Registered 16 years agoFeels like a very low-key run in to the launch of this. Very little coverage around, that I can see.
Vaguely tempted by it, but conscious I never really got into the first one. Admittedly, that was largely because the crappy ATI graphics card I had at the time it came out had some driver issues with it that resulted in appalling pop-in, but the world-building also failed to tickle my fancy. Pre-orders seem pretty cheap - it's available on PC for under £30 if you look around. -

Registered 14 years agoI'm not seeing a lot of hype for this one. Admittedly the first game had its problem, but it was decent fun for a while. I don't think I'll buy it immediately, but I could give it a try on a sale.
This isn't being developed by id Software, right? Not with Doom Eternal right aside it. -
