I'm trying the one handed saber levels.

I either fail right near the start or right near the end

@THFourteen I have faith, be at one with the Saber. And waft your arms about like a mental.

Boggles the mind the quality games they've rejected yet they let this pile of shite on the system as a launch title. Vr Karts is shit as well

Yeah was reading about that. Don't see the point in refusing releases?

Some think a deal was made with some of the publishers that had launch releases

@Baihu1983 Campaign 17B is the one I'm having trouble with in Beat Saber. I've finished the campaign and now I'm mopping up - this one is hard!

Not sure the number but stuck on a level that has the arrows disappear.

Tried casting, works fine on my phone but wouldn't connect to my Chromecast

    Ordered myself a quest.

Anyone used Sidequest on a Mac to add apks to their quest? I'm wanting to get Titans of Space loaded up on it when it arrives.

Spent some time with Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes last night with a friend. So much fun! it's perfect for the Quest, no compromises, no wires, and easy to swap the headset back and forth to switch roles.

Yeah I have heard lots of good things about the latter but haven't got around to it yet.

Ordered some of the Widmo prescription lens adapters for my Quest. Looks like they're backed up a bit on orders, must be popular. Specs clashing into the lenses is one of my biggest issues right now and playing with contacts did make a big difference.

Did anyone get any replacement foam, like the VR Cover stuff? It looks like they're shipping out again but new orders aren't going out til next month.

Anyone tried Tea for God yet? Unusual name but people on Reddit seem really excited about the way it handles movement. I've not found a chance to try it yet.

Yeah, seen lots of raving about it. I don't have enough room for a full 'roomscale' setup but looking at videos it looks like it works, very clever.

I picked up Gun Club VR - very fun! Even though the Quest is significantly lower spec than my PS4 I really noticed the higher resolution screen when looking at my guns. I'd been after a target practice kind of game and it really seems to fit the bill. Looking forward to that tracking upgrade in the next firmware though, as it does have a bit of trouble when I'm holding the long guns to my face. That said, though, it was still very much possible to use rifles and SMGs with scopes and sights; it's hardly like the experience I had with the almost-excellent Blood and Truth where as soon as I brought my hands up it'd flip out. Tempted to install the Oculus stuff on my PC to see how that version ends up coming across via ALVR.

Apparently the new system software is rolling out now, complete with tracking improvements covering areas near the face. Looking forward to trying it out!

Yeah I must admit I love VR but it is very hard to enjoy it in properly hot weather!

Widmo lenses arrived! Easy to put on, you remove the little plastic rims from around the Quest lenses and just clip them on. Much better than using them with my glasses.

Well-timed with the new tracking update too, shooting through scopes on Gun Club VR is so much better as you don't have to bias over to one side as much. Brilliant!

I cant even begin to imagine putting my Quest on in this weather. Good news about the firmware update but apparently it breaks all sideloaded stuff, and I have a lot fo sideloaded apps so it's going to be quite the pain in the arse

Sidequest now has a single button “push to install the latest version” for everything that installs through that. Had to get a modified Pavlov download though, and I had to reinstall Beat Saber entirely for the update for that, but that was because I have a bunch of mods on that.

And yeah, more than about ten minutes is hard work on this heat! Still ok for a couple of rounds on a low intensity game like Gun Club. Please, Don’t Touch Anything came out as well so once it cools down I might take a look at that as from what I’ve seen it’s a fun little toy.

@Baihu1983 It's... ok, if you like aimlessly pressing buttons and pushing things to try and figure out a locked puzzle room, I preder 'I expect you to die'

I heard there wasn't much to that game so was a bit wary of the price tag. If there's a solid few hours of entertainment I don't mind though - how long is it?

edit: by which I mean I Expect You To Die.

Can be finished in 90 minutes apparently but think that's if you've played it before.

    Other times say 2-3 hours.

That's what I thought - I'd probably prefer closer to a tenner-12 quid for that.
