Visuals are good, audio and ergonomics are a bit worse than the rift, but first impressions are good. As in it might actually work as a mainstream thing. I did a little dance with the robot during the intro and felt no shame.

Biggest thing for me is the pass through and no more fucking wires, it’s quite liberating after 3 years of regular rift.

Yeah might just do that and see what they say. Just watched some Robo Recall and the downgrade in visuals isn't that bad. It doesnt look like they effect the gameplay anyway. Same with beat saber.

Got one today. It's brilliant so far. Just downloaded a whole lot of games and waiting till it gets abit dark to dine in. The set up thing was brilliant and this is my first dive into a proper vr headset (not including psvr as I don't know if that was 6dof)

That Star Wars Vader thing is bloody brilliant. VR makes weird things exciting, like ladders.

Well, I just thought I'd test out streaming on Big Screen, stuck a Laurel and Hardy film on and someone camein so I didnt want to end it and ended up watching the whole bloody film

@MrWonderstuff it apparently works really well with the go and rfit. There's loads of videos of people on them playing full fat pc games! Even using bloody mobile phones as motion controllers. The dev says not to Iexoect too much because they are only 3dof and obviously the Quest is 6dof but a lot of people seem to think it will be coming in the very near future

Vader immortal, the graphics are insanely good for a mobile headset. It's hard to believe it's running on the quest. It rivals anything I've seen on rift in some parts as far as character models go. The light saber fighting is really good as well, and when the storm troopers are shooting at you and your deflecting the shits with your light saber, fantastic. Highly recommended.

I'd rather they just told me if they fecked up and don't have it. I'm watching the oculus shop and their orders are getting further and further out for shipping dates. If Amazon hadn't already taken the money I would have probably given up by now.

Hello, arriving from the other thread! I had the day off work today and played all sorts of stuff. Loving the Quest so far. No matter what else I tried though, I kept coming back to Beat Saber. It really is great.

Vridge is now working on Quest, so you can play all your pc games on the quest, wirelessly. It's Ł14.99 avlr is free but don't think it's compatible. Still, for a day old it's impressive.
