    But.

The pain in my little cheeks and forehead after using it is making me sad. I tried the AMVR replacement facial interface and that was just cheaply made junk that didnít make any difference.

Any recommendations for replacement bits to make it more comfortable and less likely to mark my beautiful face up?
All the reviews for replacement interfaces seem mixed. It's even worse when using it with the link as the added weight really puts pressure on your face. I had to stop playing Asgard's Wrath yesterday because I was so uncomfortable. They really fucked up the comfort.

Tempted by this. Is it worth buying right now? I've never tried VR.

Do I need to get the power adapter for charging? Any reason to get the 128gb version?

Let's put it this way; it's been used more (mostly by my daughter) in the few weeks I've had it than all the years I had PSVR.

    The charger comes with it.

I went for the 128gb and it's getting pretty stuffed.

    @Juz

I want to get something for Christmas. Was thinking of a PS4 but don't really want to add yet more games to my backlog. VR seems like a different enough experience and I like the idea of everything in one package. I don't really want an expensive PC and a headset.

If you've got yourself a link cable, you reallllly need to try Google Earth, I can't believe it took me this long to try it. It's just amazing. Obviously I mainly went to my house and places I know but flyinng over the house and they're all in 3d, being able to look into footy stadiums from above etc, it's just mindblowing. Then you can hold up your controller like a magnifying glass and use street view to go wherever you want

@MrFlay Having had the Rift S and playing the PSVR quite a bit, the Quest is the best overall headset in terms of value for money, ease of use, software support by a country mile. Yes, the other headsets have a lot more games etc at the moment but the Quest gets highly polished versions of the best stuff and the option to make it a PC headset is there if you want to down the road. You don't need the 128gb version, I have the 64gb and you can get loads of games on there, I have had to delete one or two things but its stuff that you play once and never touch again.

However, the lack of comfort in comparison with the the only other VR Iíve tried (PSVR) is fucking astonishing on the Quest. Iíve tried different facial interfaces and even extra velcro straps..I honestly think itís the actual material that hurts so much.

I might try and get the missus to repurpose my lovely silky sleep mask, but I do so enjoy acting like Top Cat.

@Juz I dont understand people complaining about comfort at all, for me its perfectly comfortable. Of course we all have different shaped faces and some of the less aesthetically fortunate it may not be the same.

To be fair I think you're in a minority if you find the Quest comfortable. It's a very common complaint. I have 3 headsets and the Quest is the worst by far.

Yeah, I think if you have high, sculpted cheekbones like myself then you suffer, but if you have a big, watery head like some others, then it probably acts as a fleshy shock-absorber.

    ;)

    After sending back these:

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07VT3BM7P/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

because they were cheap and nasty and no more comfy than standard, I'm now trying this:

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07WPHB3BT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

..as I definitely preferred the rubberiness of the PSVR to the abrasive weird foam on the Quest.

Just ordered a Rift S being delivered on Friday. I've purchased Asgards Wrath and will probably get Stormland too. Anymore other recommendations? First time user with VR.

Superhot and Beat Saber are ptetty much essential. If you wait until the christmas sale, Steam has a decent 'VR Essentials' pack which covers a lot of the good stuff, though it does have a few 2016-era games which are necessarily less advanced.

Other games I like are Robo Recall, Audica, H3VR, Gun Club, Polybius and Red Matter, among others. If you're new to VR check out Rez and Tetris Effect (Tetris is Epic Store exclusive for now), and I think there's a demo of Headmaster on Steam as well, which is a fun and quirky little thing.

I'm enjoying Boneworks but definitely don't get that if you're new to VR because it breaks a few fundamental comfort rules and so it could kill the whole thing for you.

Stormland is ok but not great. Asgard's wrath is brilliant.

I've been playing Boneworks. It's really interesting but I'd be struggling if I were new to VR, it's very intense. I'm finding it a bit awkward to control but it's a nice experiment.

Yeah, I've been having a bit of trouble getting back into Stormland. I love the movement but I'm really struggling with the guns.

Have you tried Until You Fall? That's the best 'game' type sword combat I've played on VR.

What's the error message? Asgard's Wrath needs a shitload of HD space to install. I think you need 140GB free or something.

I tried it, feels very simple. I gather it's pretty short too. Kicking people into ovens is fun though!

Still need to get Thrill of the Fight but only the living room has a big enough space and it's currently got a tree and other decks

The hand tracking in the latest update is quite amazing, but currently it only works in the menu so itís a bit pointless.

Finished Boneworks, a bit unpolished but really interesting. Also completely impossible to actually recommend to anyone without also reminding them that Steam does have a good refund policy.

If you're new to VR then yeah. I felt the same at first but now I think I could do pretty much anything in Vr and not feel effected. Use the teleportation option, or there are probably comfort options like blinkers that would help. You're better taking it easy in VR at first, moving like in normal video games is quite intense

Wow, wireless 360 degree Beat Saber is truly amazing. I can't believe how joyful it is, for me at least.
