Registered 6 years ago@INSOMANiAC Cheers - bought Pistol Whip and Elevens Table Tennis last night, only played briefly but both brilliant. The tracking compared to PSVR is night and day. Was looking at Real Fishing VR so will pick that up. -

Registered 13 years ago@papalazar0u Eleven table tennis is the reason I bought the Quest, after having the wired version of it. Shame I'm shit at it. -

Registered 6 years ago@INSOMANiAC was really surprised how realistic it is - jumped into an online game after a quick warm up against the AI which held up well, but still got my arse handed to me. -

Registered 13 years agoOK, I bought a Quest 2 for my kids for Christmas. I already own a Rift S, plus half a dozen games in the Oculus App. Have merged my Oculus account and FB account in preparation. Now all set up, but none of the apps I already own show up in my App Library.
Does this mean I can’t use any software I already own on the new headset? If so, I feel completely ripped off, given that everything runs via the same FB account. I don’t think it was unreasonable to think I would be able to use compatible apps that were already in my library. -

Registered 4 years agoIf they were cross buy for rift/quest you need to go into the store and rebuy them (they should be free), they don’t auto show up in the library. -

Registered 13 years agoHow can I tell whether they were crossbuy? I bought them long before I planned to buy the Quest. -

Registered 4 years agoIf you bought them from the rift store previously then this list should show everything that’s cross buy - https://www.oculus.com/experiences/quest/section/2335732183153590/?locale=en_US
I’d try just going into the store on the quest, look up something you already bought that’s there and see if it says it’s free. If it doesn’t then, yes, unfortunately there’s probably something screwy with the account merge and you’ll need to ping Oculus support. -

Robo recall is, Zen Pinball is but some like Superhot and Beat Saber aren't -

Registered 13 years agoAhh. Robo Recall was free, but I own Beat Saber and Superhot, which weren’t. Well, that explains it. Bastards. Part of my whole rationale for buying a Quest was that I already had a software library - they certainly don’t advertise that this isn’t the case. -

If you’ve got reasonable 5ghz wifi you can download an app called virtual desktop. It takes a little bit to setup with something called side quest but once you are done you can play all your PC VR games wirelessly streamed to your quest.
I use it to play beat saber streamed and it’s almost flawless 30ms latency. -

Registered 13 years agoI got a notification today offering me a 25% discount at the oculus store. At least I think I did - now it has disappeared from my phone! It was ‘something25’. Did anyone else get it too? -

Registered 14 years agoWe got a Quest 2 for Christmas ("for the kids"). I've worked out how to connect it to the PC for some Steam VR goodness, but I keep on getting disconnects (using a USB c cable), and the Oculus Link software doesn't really want to register the controllers in the 'devices' screen, even though I can see my pink virtual hands when walking around my virtual house.
Any ideas what's up with my connectivity? -

Registered 17 years agoCan't help you there, but I was just about to pull the trigger on a Quest 2 when I discovered that my 980Ti isn't officially supported and is a bit twitchy. Guess I'm now waiting for the new 3000 series cards to become available, and not exorbitantly priced, before I can even contemplate it. Fucksticks. :-/ -

That's weird. The 970 is and the so is the 1070, you'd think a 980Ti would be fine.

Is it just the lower redresh rates that are supported for lower power cards? -

I wish I knew, I agree it's extremely weird. The 980Ti is basically just a fat 970. But there are reports of varying levels of success out there with the card, and I'm not interested in rolling the dice. Quest 2 officially on pause.

Registered 18 years agoDoom 3 is a blast in VR with Doom3Quest the games is £3.99 on Steam worth it. You need SideQuest to install it to the headset minds.
Stands up very well. They have even made it so each hand works as it should in VR you can look at the gun from all angles and the other hand has the flash light or you can strap it to the gun or head/body.
Top marks!
