So now that GoT is over, what else are people watching on their HBO or Sky Atlantic subscriptions? I'm sure I've seen it mentioned other places on here, but Chernobyl is proving to be absolutely gripping so far imo (3 episodes in). There's also an accompanying podcast on Spotify giving some background into each of the episodes including explaining what's strictly factual and what has been dramatized.

I've also heard Barry and Sharp Objects have been two of the better shows that have come out recently but haven't watched either. And haven't been up to watching Finding Neverland just yet due to the grim subject matter but would love to hear people's opinions on it.

I'm alternating between The Handmaid's Tale and Sharp Objects at the minute and both are very good. Chernobyl is on the list too.

In no particular order (although I use NowTV entertainment to watch these):
    Legion
    Gomorrah
    Babylon Berlin
    Veep
    Billions

I am ploughing through all 8 series of Veep. Highly recommended.

"The Thick of It USA", basically.

Really need to get back into Veep. Loved the first 3 series.

Just started Barry. Very promising. Sharp Objects was excellent. Banshee highly recommended if still up there.

And of course, The Wire and The Sopranos should be every newcomer's first port of call.

Not sure if it is still on there but I liked big little lies. New season starts in a few weeks.

I'm looking forward to the Watchmen TV show. Lindelof gained big points for me on The Leftovers and I quite liked the movie so my standards must be low

Going back a bit, but Deadwood is excellent.

Rome was a combined HBO and BBC production and also excellent.

I am currently watching Riviera season 2 which is pretty good. Really enjoyed the first season.

Also enjoyed the first season of Tin Star but found the second hard work.

Yeah, shame they axed Rome so soon.

I've finally got round to starting Twin Peaks: The Return. 9 episodes in and it's tedious pretentious guff, so this a non-recommendation.

Succession and Westworld worth a look and maybe Fortitude.

The first season of Fortitude was ace when the viewer is left wondering if this is science or magic but I thought the second season was dross. Strangely, my old man is a much harsher TV critic than me but he raves about it. I thought the writers originally had no plan for a second season so decided to write something about getting high on deer piss.

I loved Fortitude - season 3 was a good conclusion, but all to short.

@sherpa1984 I have to agree. I've seen all three seasons and, while the third one somehow managed to wrap up the loose ends, I'd really only recommend watching the first series.

Let's see, here's some that haven't been covered yet...

Billions - Really solid show. For the first couple of seasons at least.

Kidding - Should be seen as a Michel Gondry piece rather than a Jim Carrey vehicle. Really does a good job of showing, not telling.

Patrick Melrose - Benedict Cumberbatch labour of love. Not many lols, but pretty good.

Britannia - Doesn't have the best start. In fact, the first episode is pretty embarrassing. But it does get a lot better. You just have to embrace the madness.

Camping - Watch the UK version, not the US remake. Worth sticking with to experience one of the most chaotic final episodes of a series ever.

Silicon Valley - Don't think it's available at the moment but genuinely one of the funniest sitcoms to have come out in the last ten years. Although the last season was a bit iffy.

Also worth noting the feature length conclusion to Deadwood is coming out on 1st June. So it's a good time to get up to speed on that.

There was a whole thread devoted to it on the forum if you can find it. It made for some... interesting discussion.

Heh, I have a vague recollection of someone saying how the victims must’ve been lying and doing it for money but couldn’t remember a thread.

Made a start on Barry last night and flew through the first 4 episodes, pretty damn enjoyable. Not overly long, very self aware and some good dark humor.

Whoever is responsible for the sound on Chernobyl deserves all the awards.
