    First win for England.

Unbelievable catch from Ben Stokes, outstanding!

EG proper doesn’t like it when cricket dares to hit the front page of the forum.

Also, what a great start to the World Cup. I look forward to us getting bowled out for 170 by SA/Pakistan in the semis

    This. I'll stick with mine.

It's. A. World Cup. We are hosting, and, bugger me, could win!

One win and you’ve become more pessimistic!

    West Indies are red hot.

They crushed us with bat in the warm up and now they're giving Pakistan all sorts of problems with the ball.

My favourites to win the whole thing. After NZ of course.

Wow Pakistan not fans of the short ball.

    Not going to make 100.

Windies will club it in 10 overs.

I don't think I'll be able to watch anything live, unfortunately. Even the highlights might be tricky.

But I see that we are playing Afghanistan tomorrow, which shouldn't be too much trouble. Of course the days of unwavering, swaggering confidence in our cricket team are long, long gone at this point, so who knows.

Bangladesh putting up a good total here.

    Big finish as well.

SA fielding has been very poor.

Little wobble for SA. Haven't been following Bangladesh much but that's not a bad total
  • Deleted user 2 June 2019 17:01:13
SA should have enough to see this through by the end.
  • Deleted user 2 June 2019 17:21:22
Ok RRR is getting close to double figures now, SA better up the gears sharpish. Losing to England last round of matches is fine but a 2 losses in 2 (and having to play Australia and India still) is going to make things difficult.

Still think this is wide open. Windies are the ones to watch.

Two threads! I keep posting in both by accident.

Yeah the Windies look on form. Very strong batting line up and great pace attack.

Seen an hour or so off all the matches, but with work and that i haven't been able to watch much :( Did see stokes catch though. Marvellous.

For what ever reason i haven't watch much cricket over the last few years but actually really desperate to watch a lot of this world cup. For the first time really there are a few names in the the sides i don't recognise.

Plunkett dropped for Wood is a big call given his injury problems.

    Pakistan look solid here.

I always think a big loss or an unexpected loss makes a team more dangerous in their next game.

Very true, just look how SA bounced back after that England thumping. :-)

Yeah you guys need to get some wins before we play you on the 19th.

Root needs to get a big hundred if we’re going to win this.

Butter needs an innings similar to that one against Australia last year.
