The idea is to trade with other players to catch them all.

Anyone got a link for an infographic for all the release dates announced for the next 12-18 months?

After today's switch show I'm lost as to all the games I'm wanting.

@Graxlar_v3 you could get all of the ones that had existed to date in X/Y and Sun/Moon through various transfer methods. And the DS ones iirc.

You can't trade in ones from outside the new region at all though. You could in X/Y etc even if they weren't directly catchable in game.

@Graxlar_v3 Actually I think in those you could get all the ones in the region plus a large number of others through trading, maybe not all 800 odd. But apparently in the new one it's just however many are natively catchable, no imports of others. Which is odd since they've presumably got most of them ready to go thanks to GO and the last generation of games.

    Oh.

Possibly due to the amount of species being 800 or something so unfeasible to get? I'm reaching here as I always thought getting all the Pokemon was the true end point.

    Showing actual gameplay shocker.

@Duffking I guess because they are all in 3D and have moves to perform they didnít want to put the money in. To get them all looking good.

It does kinda make sense I suppose, even if it is a bir disappointing (not for me because I found having the 800+ Pokemon to be a deterrent to catching them all).

Perhaps some of the Pokťmon are no longer compatible with new mechanics? I recall reading that there's a lot of complex stuff going on in the background with movesets, breeding characteristics and what have you. Having to fit loads of legacy features in might stop the gameplay from evolving in certain ways.

I feel like aside from the lack of gameplay for Microsoft (and Squenix with Avengers) the biggest problem with this E3 has been the leaks, it felt like no new games were announced because we knew about so many of them already

It would have been OK if they actually showed some gameplay, especially with games such as Gears which is 3 months away. It was actually mind boggling. When you have games that are coming out pre spring 2020 why do you not have any gameplay to show other than a cgi trailer or in engine cinematic.

And why for me Nintendo 'won' E3 hands down.

Microsoft have been battling so hard against the Ďno games on Xboxí message for so long that their E3 conferences have been, look look how many gams instead of focusing on 8-10 and giving a bit more info on them. It means we get some great teases but nothing of any substance.

Nintendo have it pretty nailed on when it comes to marketing and showcasing games. Gameplay trailers and in-depth looks of various games which you start to get a proper feel for. 30-40 minutes is an ideal time for a conference. Iím glad that Sony seem to be experimenting with how they advertise their games too.

Itís great that Microsoft were showcasing 60 games but it was too much. They
threw everything they had and it just got a
little boring. Could have cut a lot from their conference or used stuff in smaller broadcasts to back up there main games

If it wasn't for Ninty this would have been the worst e3 of the last few years by a long way. May still prove to be the worst, but I'm seriously hyped for ffvii remake, Mario maker 2, links awakening, luigi mansion 3, witcher 3 in switch, Cyberpunk that I can recall from the top of my head. Then I'm quite interested in a fair few other games that I can't recall.

Damn will someone please make a nice graphic of games being released each month please...

The Nintendo Direct plus the Tree House is a great combo. It helps that all the games shown on Tree House I have more than a passing interest in but it really gives you a good sense as to how they play.

I haven't seen any inside Xbox stuff but figured that would do similar. I just can't face Acey Mongo and Larry Twerp any more.

Yep, it's great, they're doing a good job this year of spreading the love across a load of games this year.

    This will have to do.

    https://www.gamesradar.com/uk/video-game-release-dates/

    June - Mario maker
July - marvel ultimate alliance (maybe fire emblem)
    August - astral chain
    September - links awakening
    October - nothing
November - death stranding, pokemon, shenmue 3, star wars jedi fallen order
    December - nothing

Other 2019 games, luigis mansion, witcher 3.

For me this is becoming a pretty strong year!

Was impressed with that Direct - its reinforced that Nintendo have plenty of games coming up over the next year.

Despite being an underwhelming E3 overall I'm worried about the amount of games I want to buy early 2020.

@Graxlar_v3 thing is though there's footage out there and it's not like they're animating them any more in this one than they did the 3DS games. They still just slide across the floor then slide back for most attacks. There's plenty of reasons to do that but it's therefore not for technical reasons the rest aren't in.

In fact IIRC they were boasting in the 3DS games that they'd made the models way higher quality than needed to future proof themselves.

From what I've seen, GF are saying the reason it's this way is for game balance purposes. Which is just silly. At least let people transfer in the post game if that's the case.

@Bichii I not a big fan of shooters. I have doom on xb1 and played a few hrs of the campaign. Was good fun, but I got my fill of it and moved on.

I guess it is a maybe, I did consider putting it in in truth.

I mean there's enough in November already. No way I will get them all in the month before Xmas, wife would rightly be miffed.

Maybe in a future year when I don't pay student loans or childcare (which will both happen in about 15 months! Oh I cannot wait!)
