@garsync You can only become in-game friends by visiting each others Island. I've left some bits by Filbert's house. I'll leave the Island open. Feel free to come and get them.

A quick panic Christmas question that I hope someone could answer.. my son's getting Animal Crossing for Christmas. His account on the switch isn't tied to a Nintendo account but mine is. I understand I need to get an online subscription for him to play with others. Does that sub need to be with his account if we share the switch? We've got no other Nintendo devices in the house. If it does have to be on his account do I have to set him up with a Nintendo account?

You can get a family subscription that allows several accounts on your Switch to go online. It's a bit more expensive than a regular online account but it's probably worth getting if you both want to go online.

Hang on a second. I was going round gifting my villagers presents, accidentally cancelled giving them a present, they asked if I'd forgotten to wrap it (I hadn't) and gave me 3 red wrapping papers.

Why are some of the mechanics of this game so bloody obscure?

edit: they also gift you the colour variations of the time limited toys on sale at Nooks.

As far as I'm aware, the snowballs will keep appearing 'till the snow goes so you've got ages yet.
