Take a few trips to mystery islands to gather resources.
Is it normal for the mystery island to have the same fruit as your own island, or have I just been unlucky?

Visited two, both had the same fruit, peaches.

Yeah it is, genuinely, but..... how often are you honestly going to visit and wander round, with all the just-long-enough-to-be-annoying loading screens? It seems a bit wasted somehow. Canít see me going round it that often.

Right. Well, I did pick up coconuts and plant those, and got some cherries from Mom so I've got three cherry trees.

    Dreaming of oranges...

    I don't have Nintendo Online, so I assume I can't visit other people's islands?

Anyway, thanks for the offer, I'll take you up on it later.

Atm have my hands a bit full, with having to home school the kids, mind the house while the wife works overtime every single day, try to do some work from home myself, and of course this is also the week the dishwasher decides to give up and the car wants some attention too...

I do wonder about Nintendo. Pikmin isn't much better. Crash land on a planet and use its inhabitants as slaves.

I destroyed all the rocks on my island with one swing of the spade and wondered what I was doing wrong.

I realised it was because I'd increased my energy by eating fruit, so make sure you're energy is at zero before hitting the rocks so they won't disintegrate.

Luckily I had a load of Nook Miles so I made multiple visits to the secret islands (it seems once you destroy them on your island they don't respawn for a day or so?).

This is a brilliant game, a quick 20 minutes turned into 3 hours last night after my "nugget runs".

Even if you destroy the rocks, I'm pretty sure they grow back. Because that's how rocks work.

Oh does everyone know you can get 8 stone/ore/clay/gold out of each rock?

Realised that the less you move away from the blocks the more you get, so it is a time based as to how many hits you can get after the first.

So always dig at the rock with nothing around it and something blocking behind you (water, wall, tree, holes).

Since doing this I have noticed getting more frequent gold nuggets. Also if you do this to the tock that gives bells the 8th one is work 8k, totalling 16k from a single rock.

Probably best not to sell your basic resources as they'll be needed for various upgrades over the long term.

After work I'm going to finish setting up the last villager house, do a spot of fishing and fossil hunting then write some letters and take a few photos. If I have time I'll work on the town layout and exterior furniture. So much to do, so little time to do it

@f00b_inc get nook miles tickets and use the 5 rocks on each island. Should have enough after one or two visits as they spawn far more or and clay!

Iíve had no tasks for a day or two now. Houses have been built and people are moving in. Museum and shop are built. Iíve been fishing and laying off the house payments as my focus now until something else crops up that needs doing around the island.

Iím also going to sell a lot of the furnishings Iíve got in my house. I just started to throw everything on the floor around the edge of the room as I think thereís a Nook badge for filling the room? But itís getting ridiculous now, thereís tat everywhere!

@DakeyrasUK thanks for this, Iíve seen some examples on Twitter with people maximising return by placing wooden stakes or digging holes behind where theyíre hitting the rocks, so they donít bounce back.
