Finished this today at lunch. Great game, with some unintuitive boss fights on a few floors and a garbage last boss.

Haven't played for a few days. I got stuck on floor 7 (I think) after the game bugged out: I got killed and was revived to fight another day, but alas the camera was fixed on the level above. This made attempting to kill the boss pretty difficult.

Outstanding game. Some of the finest animation I've seen in a game, so much bespoke stuff.

    WRONG THREAD CUNTS
  • Deleted user 1 December 2019 21:33:37
Family has just seen an ad for this with a couple playing what looks like co-op on two Switches.

Lots of places going on about the various multiplayer modes but can't find any mention of the old "download play" or even that co-op is possible with two handheld consoles. It all seems to refer to TV mode, with player 2 using a basic controller.

Does anyone know if local co-op is possible on two handheld Switches?

No as the switch lite controllers surely canít be connected to a second console.

Can you connect another controller to a switch lite to play co-op? The game is brilliant co-op and would lose lots without it.

I get that you can connect another controller pair to play on one switch. I probably wasn't clear.

In the ad they both pull out their switches and play what looks like co-op. Each switch is displaying the game, they are not playing on the same screen.

So here is the scenario I would like to confirm:

Daughter playing LM3, handheld. Wife wants to join in the campaign co-op on her switch. Can she join the game locally (using her switch) or would they have to go to the TV?

There is online multiplayer but not for the campaign. If you want to play the story it has to be on one switch.

Thanks for the clarification. Ad is probably a bit misleading so happy I checked.

Finished this myself last night, great game and the only switch game I've finished!

Such a great series of games.

Started this a couple of days ago. It blooming good isnít it. Aiming is a bit iffy but I might get used to it. I just love how tactile these games are. Animation as eluded above is great

Aiming remained iffy for me throughout but almost everything else about the game was ace so I didnít really mind.

Just completed with my 7 year old. Was generally great but the controls and aiming were indeed a bit iffy.

Still great though and the boy loved it.

Really enjoying this still, but the boiler room boss has got to be one of the worst bosses that as come out of a nintendo game that I can remember. Itís actually soured my time with the game

That is comfortably the lowest point of the game.

He was pretty easy I thought?

I used Gooigi to pound him iirc.

Yeah. That whole section just sent my brain doo-lally. I did resort to basing Gooigi on the sidelines to reduce the amount of navigationÖ

Ohhhh, I remember him now. He was the first time I died in the game. I remember having him first attempt and then found him really easy second.

I found the gardener much harder as the trick to hearing the boss seemed inconsistent and I'd tried to do it a couple times but it didn't work so then tried everything else. All in all my fav switch game, regardless of a couple iffy boss mechanics.

Started playing this last night but having Luigi wander off or just start sucking (0_o) in random directions was a pita.

Decided to actually replace the sticks on my OG joycons aaaaand 10 minutes later Luigi is sucking like a pro.

Jokes aside, the game is bloody good so far. I'm loving the many incidental details and animations and the subtle clues to hidden stuff.

edit: figured it out, you are told to return to that floor
