Registered 14 years agoI've got to say I've jumped down on the not believing side now. I was firmly on the fence to start with. That 2 hours spent watching the interview was far more entertaining than most movies theses days though. -
I read Witleu Striebers book ages ago and found it really compelling for bullshit. -

Every single thing he’s said that is verifiable is a lie. -

Registered 12 years agoRogan is pretty much always entertaining and this particular one was just that. The hand/bone scanner tech was interesting and there were a couple of other things that only an employee could know.
Very entertaining, but in the extremely unlikely event that he is telling the truth, so what? Nothing changes and nothing will change. -

Registered 3 years agoYou ever hear about Midichlorians? I watched this TED talk about them, I forget who it was and what they said but it was entirely possible that they exist and will get you YOKED. Eddie Bravo has them in his coffee before we shoot deer with crossbows. Dude, you ever see a deer close up? They will fuck you up -
Watched the first 20 minutes or so of the Netflix "documentary" of this and couldn't go on.
Might as well watch the "I'm not saying it was aliens" guy on YouTube for an hour, it's not even as well produced as a Nat Geo filler and it's edited like a 6th form project.
I used to have a "I want to believe" poster but this is frankly embarrassing if they are trying to get a message out. -

Registered 15 years agoI can understand why people want to believe him and he does come across as very sincere. Although when he is coming out with some of the more outrageous stuff I swear I can see a little glint in his eye and a shadow of a knowing smile.
I think the biggest problem with his credibility is that he just can't help himself adding more and more outrageous stuff. I find him and his story fascinating - not true, but fascinating. So I've been reading and watching some more. He recently said that he thinks somebody might have mentioned that one of the craft was from an archaeological dig. Come on. Really? For that to be true you would have had to have silenced how many people??? None of them ever came forward?
He did once claim that he saw some scientists talking to an alien grey but has since backpedalled on that. I suppose he realised he went a little too far with that one. Now he says it was just a glimpse and he doesn't know what he saw and is pretty sure it was only a dummy.
And he hints very heavily that he has taken element 115 out of the base with him. Like that would even be possible. Even if you could do that then why not show the world? Don't believe me? LOOK AT THIS! But no.
There are those moments where, bullshitter that he is, he just can't help himself.
And I do think he did work at Area 51 but in some very minor capacity and that would explain how he knew about the hand scanners. Even low-level employees would have to be scanned and pass security checks just the same as everybody else. -

I flicked through that documentary and it was frankly unwatchable. That hipster film maker had himself in shot more than anyone else. His interview near the start that had him speaking to his iPhone on the table to give it some sort of quick and dangerous journalism feel. And those quotes with seeming no context between every scene?!
