Another level from me and it's a really easy one. No, seriously.

    EvilAspirin's Little Big Problem - PD6-1VQ-0FF

Travel between the little and big worlds to overcome obstacles! Diff: 1/5

So this level has a mechanic similar to SMB3 with a small world (normal size enemies) and big world (large enemies). It's really short and very easy.

I bounced off NSMBU deluxe when that arrived. I had finished it on Wii U and just fucked it off pretty quick. Not sure what it is, but this game has made me get back into 2D Mario in a big way. I guess after using the tools and creating a few levels, im appreciating playing it now from a gameplay and creator point of view.

And my last one for at least this weekend; YQK-CKJ-HLF. It's called "Freighter Heights". Knock yourselves out. Hopefully a few days in DQB2 will get some fresh ideas into my brain.

    Level list updated.

Plus a new one myself - 3WX-ST4-05G - Mariovania - Curse of the shroom.

As the name suggests, I tried to make a castlevania style map with power-up needed to progress and some backtracking (didn't go overboard with it). Not sure it totally works, but has it's fun bits.

I think it's been a week in development (yes, I'm using that word) and my first true meaty level is done. Beating this b*stard was a bit of a nightmare, considering I'm a Mario noob of course! Wish I'd gotten on board with Mario Maker 1, I love this sh*t!

Hey Alex, I tried this code but it doesn't seem to be working. Is the code correct?

    Spicy Donuts - S4F-7DC-NFF

First stage attempt so it's probably hot garbage but keen to get into making new levels

    Basketball Heads 2: TPT-C9S-CRG

Here's a gimmick I used in Mario Maker 1, but I feel it was a bit better implemented in this one since, due to the newer options.

@Navi I'm an idiot, I broke something worse when trying to fix the first issue! Sorry for being a pain but the final code is:

    376-27W-6DG

    'Mint Condition Goombuds'

    @AlexErratic No problem, code updated.

Tried the previous version. Cool level (although I'm embarrassed to say it too me far too long to work out how to do that first screen), although I'm nowhere close to being ninja enough to complete the part with the P-switch, so tough.

@consignia Great level, not a mechanic I'd seen before.

    @Navi Sorry to hear that!

The ninja part requires some timing to drop down on the swing (if you press down + jump on a swing, you just drop down rather than jump). If you ever take a second stab at it, let me know :)

I made a new level, it's pretty short with a 50 second timer. It's not hard though.

@voden Nice level, speaks to my mario ability that it still took me 17 goes to nail it.

@AlexErratic Gave the level another go. Got further this time, to the checkpoint and the drybones bit (although never managed to actually turn the blue blocks off in the saw bit, I just ended up brute forcing it with invisibility frames falling through the saw blade). Couldn't get past the drybones though, never nailed it. Well designed, but too hard for me.

@Navi thanks. I think I made it harder than I thought, it has a pretty low clearing rate. I should have done away with the timer and added a check point

Finished off my trilogy of Goomba Patrol levels

    PVY-KLD-FMG - Goomba Patrol 2 - Train Patrol
    523-80C-RCG - Goomba Patrol 3 - Assault Patrol

Seems things are a bit quieter around here, are people still enjoying the game?

I hope so, I've only just picked the game up. Working my way through the story and have tried a few of the popular levels online, some of the levels people have come up with are brilliant.

Will try a few of the EG levels later. Any standout ones?

Yeah I'm still playing others levels.

As for building my own got a little put off after my third level being some epic 10 hr build and it only getting 1 like from about 20 players when my other (I thought inferior) levels had a 1-4 to 1-6 like ratio.

It really prevents a level getting exposure, my first level has had 202 players, my second 107 and my third 21.

I do find it fun making the level, but if it is only going to be played by random on endless runs who skip it after 1 or 2 goes then I'm kinda not willing to make the effort when there is so much else to play (both other levels and other games).

Also I haven't had a creative spark for what to build for my 4th yet.

Here's my latest, a fun platforming jaunt up Mushroom Mountain:

    7YX-205-RRF

Took quite a while this one. Pretty pleased with it.

Gonna catch up on yours now.

Made a start on my second level, haven't been on for a whole due to work so haven't had chances to play you guys' levels.

It's inspired by a level on SMB3 anyway.

Brilliant idea, loved it. I think you could do a lot more with this concept maybe in a future level?

This was equal parts genius and torture! Loved the early platforming. The middle puzzle was a bit obscure but I figured it out. Nearly ragequit when the boss kept freezing and killing me. Some great ideas.

Really clever, and I think you succeeded in your aim very well. Love the exploration using the different power-ups.

Definitely not hot garbage. Enjoyed using Yoshi to blow up the bombombs in the walls. Difficulty was tuned well despite all the fire bars.

Had no idea what to do at first but felt very clever when I figured it out. Really fun and original. Great stuff.

NOT TOUGH?!? I have no idea how many times I died. Loved every single death though. Brutal but fair. Well designed.

I'm not a fan of koopa blimp flying in general but the train level is fantastic. Chaotic but survivable and great fun.

This was really cool. Had to scratch my head a few times but wasn't stumped for too long. Just right overall. Nearly had a heart attack when I fell into the well with the massive dry bones.

@Nielzor Glad it hit the right notes! I’ve never tried building a puzzle level before and it turns out they’re REALLY hard to design.

@Nielzor - Thanks, kinda what I was going for.

That said... you could avoid the stomp by making use of the claw, which is sort of what I intended. But if you did it old-school, you have my respect!

Needed a short break from Dragon Quest Builders 2, I love it but it don't half drag on a bit... I think I preferred the punchiness - and hands-off approach - of the original.

So now putting some finishing touches on Thwomp Towers... I'm not going to make the obvious joke. No sir. No siree you can't make me nuh-uh.
