Shroud I found much easier than Rattlegore. With shroud the explosions aren't random, they land where you are stood so if you keep running they never hit you. He let's out a massive scream before he does them as well to warn you it's coming. Other than that his arrows cause bleed so have some bandages ready in case you get that. Using hot shot on one of your weapons allows you to put a burn on him so he takes damage even when you are running away.

Ugh, realised I didnít have Mudtooth in my world so re-rolled at 50 trait level and finding the game impossible. Really like how the world has changed physically, very clever, but the first dungeon was touch and go and now Gorefist is ridiculous. Iíve got him killing me in two hits and inflicting bleed left right and centre and exploding twats from every angle wrecking my health and adding rootrot into that cocktail too. Feels like the scaling is screwed slightly and I'm not re-rolling again so, great?

Trait level shouldn't make any difference, it's based off of your gear level. It creates the world based on an average of your gear.

Might need to upgrade a few pieces of armour. When you are in the world and you go to your stats what are the symbols next to your armour and weapons? If they are green up arrows they are overpowered in the world, red arrows underpowered and diamonds (I think) are equal to.

Hope I explained that in a way that makes sense, I'm terrible at this sort of thing.

Hmm, I can spec to be five or six plus/green against Gorefist but the fight is still controller throwingly frustrating. Re-rolling has skewed the world and taken it from a touch easier than Dark Souls to a touch harder. Iíd beaten four or five bosses in the previous world but wanted the pocket watch, now even the first dungeon is nails and I canít see me enjoying it from this point.

Itís a neat game, derivative as hell but very moreish and playable. Another digital purchase I regret!

Got the fucker, but only because I had a cheap middle section where he got stuck and I could cheese his health. Let it go, let it go...

Ugh. Played on until The Mangler. Iíve got:
Him rolling around constantly and any time heís actually still the never ending ads are chasing and slicing at me, they occasionally pin me to the floor and pile on, have burn being applied somehow, have constant rot explosions wherever I stand applying rootrot, have non-stop regular explosions and have him doubling in size at 50% health and instantly killing me if I get anywhere close. Itís the least enjoyable boss fight I think Iíve ever had.
I need to play something else.

He was a right fucker to do solo, with one other player I got him second time as the adds are much less of an issue.

I got him. Love the game. The guns feel so satisfying. It gets so much right, perhaps not surprising given it copies so many of FromSoftís ideas, but the bosses feel like the difficulty comes from how frantic they are thus far. I feel like I win more by luck than skill.

You have had 2 of the bosses I found the hardest so far which is rough. Their alternatives are much easier as well.

Good thing is if you have killed those then I think you can probably kill anything.

I need to get back into this. Got distracted by a new Dark Souls playthrough dammit. I don't think I've got far to go.

    I'm enjoying it a lot.
Discovered today that each map has 2 dungeons (for whatever reason I assumed it'd be 2 entrances to the same place) so I need to head back to the starting zone and do the 2nd.

Killed The Mangler tonight. Didn't find him too bad. SMG spam with the odd frenzy kept him in his place. Slightly brickwalled on the Ent though.

Went back to this last night and tried different tactics on the Ent - got him on the first go with them. I do like that you can go from brickwalling on a boss to smacking it down quickly by thinking about and adjusting your tactics. That's very Dark Souls.

I found the ent much easier if you removed his legs.

Adventure mode is is coming today, I would recommend trying to get the dragon boss on earth as it's one of the best in the game.

Went up against a right pair of cunts on Yaesha last night. Basically I spent the entire fight on fire. Only got them when one of them got stuck on the scenery and I had no qualms about capitalising on it. Truly terrible boss fight. Least it's done now.

In typical fashion I then realise it was optional after all d'oh.

Apart from that I'm back to very much enjoying it again. I've switched back to my hunter rifle from the crossbow as it's just more satisfying to fire. using the SMG as my hand gun but I don't think I like it. I did get a ring that increases consumable use by 25%, considering I've already put loads of points into a similar trait, I'm healing VERY quickly now. Which is awesome.

The hunting pistol is stupidly good if you are a good shot. You can one shot a lot of normal enemies.

Ooo- I like Rhom. Does Mad Max better than Mad Max with all the crumbling buildings sliding into the sand.

I'm in two minds about this. I'm not a big fan of procedural generation but it does look great

It's not totally procedural in the way some games are. If you played it without being told you probably wouldn't pick up on it tbh.

Feels like the collision detection is just a hair different post patch- Iím correctly missing some shots that, say, go between the legs of creatures, but also hitting some in the chest and theyíre not registering. Subtle, but will take a bit of playing to get used to.

Hmm, I hope it doesn't impact my elite crossbow sniping skillz.... Guess I'll find out later.

Killed Onslaught this morning, bit of a bastard fight but got him second go so not too pissy. Wonder how many bosses I have left, I'm getting a bit bored of slightly bigger / tougher enemy plus loads of adds that seems to be the majority of these fights.

Hmm. I'll have to get back to this. Got about halfway through NG+ before being distracted by something else (*cough* Dark Souls *cough*). Will be a nice counterpoint to Blasphemous and, maybe, BL3.

    So, adventure mode, eh?

@MiniSchnauz Have you got Blasphemous? I'm swithering if I should buy it yet or wait til it's cheaper.

@wuntyphyve I picked itup last night on Switch for a tenner as I had points to trade against it. I really like it as a grown-up metroidvania.

@MiniSchnauz It looks awesome, just a bit pricey for me right now. I may still give in though.
