Played an hour or so, felt like it'll be the same kind of fun as the first.
Looking forward to it at some point.

Wasn't too keen on the gear level being important as it makes your 'look' a little fixed by the loot drops.

It's good. I like that there's not a billion plants everywhere. You go prone and camouflage up.

Eventual buy but not day 1 buy and graphically it's nice. Has some nice art style. On base PS4, a bit choppy but you can tell it's due to it being beta, it'll be fixed on release day.

I played the previous beta's. It is very similar, well it would be. But the hours I spent with it were fun. I thought the gunplay was better than 1 (on also a big fan of the first, have on Xbox and ps4) the driving was mostly awful (also like the first one

) I don't like the "hub" with all the other players. This is not The Division after all.

To me it is almost an expansion, much like most of the sequels we have got this time around.

I played or at least tried to play the free beta. I did the SP as far as I needed to get my first class, so that I could dive into the PvP.

I quite enjoyed what I saw. Felt more like a story than the start of Wildlands. The rest below is all about PvP.

Anyway, if the beta was representative of the final game, oh my days, is it going to suck. I had many disconnects and crashes. Could hardly get into a game.

On gameplay, I am willing to try and see for a bit longer, as it took me a while to "get" the Wildlands PvP. On the face of it tho, it feels like they may have reduced the tactical options you had, in terms of character selection. But then, the different skills trees might adequately replace this - no idea what they offer really.

More generally, the game did not feel like an upgrade over Wildlands, to me. Felt a bit rougher tbh. I did choose the graphical features option over resolution, but if that was the reason, I would love to know what low resolution that means you end up with...

They say that the maps are now bespoke designs rather than just slices from the main map, but I thought that was a great feature of Wildlands!

The shooting is different so would have to spend more time testing, but they seem to have made the third person aspect harder. Camera is more zoomed in on you so you fill more of the screen annoyingly.

I dont like that everybody can basically carry a sniper and an assault rifle or SMG. But that might be a hang up from what I am used to with Wildlands. On the other hand, character and weapon choice is also something I like about Siege. You can have a favourite character and weapon. Here I might just end up using the same ones all the time. One long range, one short to medium. Even then, you can put proper scopes on the SMGs and assault rifles too, so will be interesting to see how the meta develops.

It is also really annoying you have to load into the SP before you can go to the PvP. Just a waste of my time. My life choices (work + wife + son) mean that I generally get short stints of gameplay. Those startup times are critical! (And the game resume modes generally crash after a while on the Ubisoft games!).

Will need convincing to step over to breakpoint, which is a shame. I should have been an easy target.

It was accurate to my gameplay impressions though. It's a shame as I was looking forward to it but now I will wait to see if they fix it.
