Incredible. Bought this today on disc and and I'm presented with the game in Italian, only other language is Spanish . Checked and apparently this game is one of those rare games that is region locked via language. If I want the privilege of playing it in English I have to download from the English store. Fucking joke seeing as most other games have many language options on disc.

I know most places are a bit funny with returning opened games so I'll have to see about getting a refund if possible. Its proper bullshit, I didn't think region locking was a thing these days?

@JamboWayOh So far as I know, it's dead on Xbox and next-to-dead on Switch. Sony don't have a region-lock per se, but they do have some odd stuff going on with regional language locks (guessing you bought on PS4?).

Steam does have region locks. They won't affect the average user 99% of the time, as the vast majority of titles can be bought from the Steam storefront with no indication of any kind of locking, but they exist. For instance, Super Robot Wars V can only be purchased in Asia. Also, some Steam codes purchased via third party sites like cdkeys will only activate in certain regions, due to the publisher wanting to sell in different regions for vastly different prices, while locking out reverse-imports.

@AaronTurner it can be awful if one team dominates. It's worth having a loadout with a smoke grenade it that's happening so you can get out at least. I find its worst on domination so I have turned it off In my playlist.

As a very occasional call of duty player (think the last one I bought was Blops 1), I’m finding this a huge amount of fun. It just feels so good in the hands. It’s like slipping back into a very comfortable (and very pretty) pair of gloves.
