So, I got to have a bit more of a play (work has been very busy), this is a Wonderful 101 sequel with a change of aesthetic and I live for it. Hit Rush really changes the way you play the game (should be unlocked as standard). With such a great foundation a sequel is just gonna be incredible.

I've done my first playthrough (not done the end bits totally yet) overall I really enjoyed it but it did kinda drag it's ass towards the end and I can't say that the ending felt all that satisfying.

You are quite near the end.

Yeah, and unless I missed something there is a gaping plot hole left unplugged.

I'm on file 10, still enjoying it but it should have ditched a lot of the minigames and inside the astral plane there's too much "platforming" and "use x on y" and "avoid the shit" stuff. Should've just been investigation, fight, investigation, fight, etc.

Finished, but I think there's multiple endings.

Going through it again on Ultimate now, and then I'll look to S+ every red case because god damnit this game is fun.

    I like this a lot.

Really makes me miss Vanquish though. That was such a great game.

Cool. I did put it in spoilers for a reason, haha.

At the end you get a choice. I picked one, and the game seemed to end... suddenly. So I think there's multiple endings.

I didn't think there were multiple endings? All I've seen is that there's a S+ Rank Boss fight.

I looked it up, I donít think it is - it just affects which Legion you use in that final cutscene.

Oh ok. So what you're saying is there's an ending where one thing alternates?

    ALTERNATE. ENDING. BOIS.

Either way I'm not looking forwards to going through that final boss again. I still suck at the platforming elements. It's a pain in the ass.

Vanquish is the best. The fucking BEST. We are now telepathically linked.

Vanquish was fantastic. Even better on PC. Perfect length too, just a great curve up to the final boss and it leaves you wanting more instead of being sick of the sight of it.

Itís a good port, especially if you have a monitor that goes over 60fps (now they fixed the damage!). Very very smooth.

I beat Vanquish in ďGod HardĒ mode (totally different game, with completely different AI and enemy layouts) along with all the challenge missions, and was ranked 5th in the world for one of the challenge missions. You may touch my loincloth and burn incense.

Just finished, really enjoyed it overall. Worst bit was the garbage platforming and some dodgy pacing. Needed fewer minigames and a bit more combat. Thought File 11 was one of the best actually as there was so much combat.

Last boss kinda sucked. Ended with an A rank but I think I hit S+ on most cases, just missed too many hidden ones to tick over to S.

I find the bits when you have to do the slo mo angled slashes a bit frustrating, especially when itís under pressure like at the end of file 2. Far too fiddly.

I think the stick layout was unintuitive for that, aim angle should have been RS and looking around LS imo. I got used to it eventually though.

I never did. They let you walk around with the left stick using Arrow so I donít see why they canít let you do it like they had it set up in MG Revengeance - I got really good at that. Worse, you arenít forced to use it very often, so I didnít get used to it, which meant I never used it unless forced to.

Yep, finding it horrible when ever I have to use the slash in a battle. Also had an utterly miserable fight in File 4 last night against some flying twats that felt like I was fighting the controls more than the enemies.

I thought they were perfectly fine, and I'm on default controls. Dodge an attack, go into Slash mode, slow time, line it up, job done.

I think itís the choice of (unchangeable) stick bindings that got me.

Remember with flying enemies that sending your legion over and having them yank you over is pretty effective. Headshots with the arrow legion also work well if theyíre flying over a pit.l which they love to do. Failing that, all the legions have cool combo Enders when youíre using the gun, itís a good weapon even though the numbers look low.

Confession time: Completely forgot until last night when going back through Files that you can scan enemies with the IRIS to make a HP bar appear.

I think I prefer not knowing tbh.

Itís very useful for knowing when you can do your finisher if youíre low-ish on health. Thereís enough going on without having to anticipate that little freeze.
