I'm not sure Ridley helped with that. Read the original script by some other guy. Lindelhof may have reigned in some of his more outlandish ideas. Leftovers shows how good he can be with genre TV. |

Registered 10 years agoI’m looking forward to it.
Although, from what I know of the plot ahead of time, I’m worried it will make my username, which has been my online handle for the best part of 20 years now, somewhat problematic. -

I’ve got the Directors Cut version (which doesn’t have the animated comic book sequence in it - haven’t seen that so can’t comment on it).

To be honest, the added scenes actually make it worse. You can tell they were cut for a reason. I think there’s maybe one, very Zack Schneider fight scene that’s kind of worth watching for the sake of the storyline if nothing else, but the rest looks like they were cut early on and lack quite a bit of polish.
The theatrical cut remains a fairly satisfactory, condensed version of the story as told in the comics, but as told by a director who seems to have misunderstood
some pretty major aspects of the story, and whose talent as director is somewhat debatable.

Registered 15 years agoI’ve got the Ultimate version. I’m a massive fan of the comic and am a bit of a completist, so have numerous versions of the comic itself and all the film versions. For that reason I liked the Ultimate version as I enjoyed seeing the comics represented in their entirety, and I personally generally quite like Snyder’s take on it all. But I’ve only watched it once and it’s certainly not the best version in itself. -

Thought Raw Shark was a ref to The Raw Shark Texts - an ok book. -
I thought it was a reference to sushi. -

Registered 10 years agoIt’s from the panel in the comic where the police get tipped off about Rorschach and the detective mishears and notes it down as “Raw Shark”.
But so have also read the Raw Shark Texts which is I. Itself a pub on Rorschach Tests - yeah it’s a pretty good read. -

What is the censored version of this movie? I think I haven't seen that one.
