Registered 17 years agoFuck me why is the PlayStation app so shit. Can't add new card details, times out when they to redeem a code. Totally half baked like the PS5 itself. -

Registered 12 years agoI'm finding the controls a bit wank on PS5 but other than that it's been quite cool so far. Couldn't be handling things worse up to now like. Making my guy look a right dickhead. -

Registered 9 years agoYeah have been a few times pressing X doesn't seem to register, also two characters voices have stopped at some point during conversation (one character not voiced at all), but that aside I am loving it so far. -

Registered 16 years agoThe PC version has the same problems with a controller, even trying to highlight something is an ordeal as the direction required seems to be unrelated to where the object is. Not sure why they thought this was okay to release. -

Registered 18 years agoI played the entire thing with a controller on PC! Albeit the joystick was basically a mouse cursor. Not sure how they've implemented console controls. -

Registered 3 years agoLooking forward to playing this but I think I might hold out for a patch - the game is stuttering badly, even on the main menu. Anyone on PS5 faring better? -

Registered 3 years agoI had a quick go on PS5 just now and it definitely feels a little bit janky with some frame rate stuttering and interaction issues. I’m on the most recent version. Hopefully things will be ironed out with a patch at some point.
Writing and voice acting quality seem high. Looking forward to playing more at a later date. -

I have this on the PC, but not really played it much, so I stupidly also bought it for the PS5 so I can not play it on two paltforms.
Yeah, some surprsing framerate issues and comparatively long loading times between areas. Just a few secoonds, mind, but being spoilt by Nioh 2 and the like, it feels like a step back..
Great that it's possible to change the font size though, and the voice-acting really helps to make this come alive more. I am quite confident I'll play it for more than a couple of hours this time around. -

Registered 13 years agoI'm torn on this. I hear or read good things from various sources, think I'll give it a go, then I watch a video or two and change my mind. Looks like a *lot* of reading (or listening now I guess). -

You got a shout-out on the front page! -
Oi! Cheers. Let me check.
Wait, which frontpage?
@Decks: native PS5 version -
@monkman76 It really is a lot of reading. In fact, it's pretty much *only* reading/listening - but, it's well written, and doesn't make me roll my eyes or reach for the skip button. It kind of reminds me of Planescape: Torment, in that regard.
I've only quit it because I just don't play games on my PC anymore currently. Mind, it is sometimes a bit *too* cleverly written, but it's unique, and funny, and surprsing, and so very much worth trying it. -

Registered 12 years agoYeah I've played 4 or 5 hours now and I plan to have a break from it for a day or two now. There is an absolute shitload of text and I haven't played a game like this in years so I'm a bit worn out by it.
Other than the dogshit controls it's been pretty good so far but I think I need to play it in smaller chunks going forward.

I get what you mean. I think what threw me off at first it that it's a deeply fictional world in which you're thrown at the deep end. When I bought the PC version when it launched, I expected a crazy character, but not a crazy world.
It works though, what with the amnesia. Another parallel to Planescape: Torment! -

Registered 12 years agoYeah it's the world building that has really done me in. You've really got to soak the social and political landscape in for yourself without any shortcuts and it's fairly overwhelming. Will probably get easier as I progress but I need a break from the reading for a bit now. -

Registered 13 years ago@UncleLou Thanks. Guessing it'd be better to play on my laptop rather than the PS5? -
I don‘t know. I actually played it for two hours last night on the PS5 and thought it was a very pleasant way to play it! Controls are a tad wonky, but I don‘t think it matters that much in such a game. Mind, I double dipped so I am probably the wrong person to ask!
