Wow. Poor Ruby Riott. She may as well have kept her old pink slip. Weird how she keeps getting the axe but Liv Morgan keeps being spared.

Only one I actually get is Lana, who was probably just waiting out her contract so she could go join hubby. It feels like the others may have asked for releases - they’ve all been wasted and you wouldn’t blame them. Maybe Braun just couldn’t bear to pretend to be a train anymore.

Ruby dumped twice. Guessing Braun must've been on a pretty huge salary for them to dump him. I really can't see him in AEW or TNA so it'll be interesting what his next step will be. I'm fully expecting Black and Lana in AEW.

My guess is Braun goes to Hollywood before any “lesser” promotion

Wondering whether Vinny Mac is looking to offload WWE with the amount of talent they've got rid off this year.

You look at all the talent released in the last 12 months and then look at Eva Marie and Gunner still hanging around lol.

I still can’t quite believe Gunner got away with being racist to Big E on twitter that time

I had also forgotten how Braun shat on the indie scene peak Covid when Evil Uno and co were doing fund raising for wrestlers out of pocket lol.

Yeah can't see Braun showing up anytime soon. I've never been a huge fan but he lost his momentum many years ago. Definitely can see Black coming to AEW, which is a great thing. Can you imagine the matches with some of the talent on there..
Them wasting Black on those promos reminded me of Sean O'Haire with the Devil's advocate promos (seek them out they are amazing).

Yeah, Black and Ruby would fight in quite well with the Dark Order and Darby/Sting.

Braun always said he would retire once he left WWE in fact some comments he's made make it sound like he was getting ready to move on

Worth noting that with Riott and Lana gone there are only seven active female wrestlers on Smackdown. What a division.

Least he has a show reel to show potential Hollywood employers. I refer you to the train noises whilst I run really fast.

Best moment was when he won the tag titles with the a child. What a career highlight haha.

Yeah. Not exactly the Wrestlemania moment you dream about when you start your career.

It’s just so mental. How do you have someone like Braun and still fuck it up? It should be a can’t lose situation. But after years of only investing in Reigns and Lesnar, they did absolutely nothing of note with him.

The only other guy that WWE haven’t managed to completely job out is Lashley. And it only took them sixteen years to get that right.

They did start with some kind of push but then it just went absolutely nowhere when Braun feuded with Lesnar.

It took them ages to get Lashley right and remember they had him in that cuckold storyline for ages.

There's only so much you could do with Braun. He's been the unbeatable monster, which is long gone now. He's sort of like Kane. The guy was just there a lot of the time. I don't recall a great deal of amazing Kane matches.

All I remember about Kane was that truly awful Kate Vick storyline.

Yep that was awful. Sure he's had some memorable moments, but for matches I'm really struggling.. aside from the usual Taker ones.

My favourite 'big guy' feud was Big Show and Bossman.

Kane should've been used intermittently as a terrifying monster. Making him a regular part of the roster necessitated humanising him, and that defeated the whole point of him.

If, during his first run, someone told you that by 2000 he would have Tori for a girlfriend and be tag-teaming with X-Pac you'd laugh at them. Never mind Katie Vick.

Apparently they made a tonne of money Kane and X-Pac

“We were a popular act and also we were making a f**k load of money for them merchandise-wise. I saw a list it was like 2000 actually by the time, Kane and I were like No. 4 and 5 in the company as far as merch,” stated Waltman. “We had Rock there, Stone Cold, it was either four and five or five and six, something like that. But either way.”

They were on the right track with Braun when they pit him against the Shield he was a a loner who could overcome their strength in numbers through sheer size alone. But they had to keep Roman a face (despite him being hated by live crowds) and ruined the feud by inexplicably teaming Braun with perennial also-rans Dolph Ziggler and Bobby Roode.

And sad to say anyone fed to Brock Lesnar was destined to not get over as Brock doesn't work matches longer than three minutes and doesn't give a shit whether those matches are good or not.

I bet Bobby and Ziggler aren't far from being binned.

Only WWE could be a massive talent hoarder and have its rosters running thin
