@simpleexplodingmaybe I just can't believe that he showed up with the eye injury and bruising caused by Buddy Murphy! Long term storytelling! Across brands!

That spot was badly shot to be fair. It probably is bad form to dump on the business though.

I might have to finally give AEW a proper chance. I've watched the odd PPV and episode of Dynamite, but it's never really clicked for me.

I'm a WWE guy, always have been and thought i always would be. The main roster has been not-so-great in the most part for a long time now, but Monday's episode of Raw might be the final straw.

NXT consistently been the best wrestling for me for a long, long time now. On Raw, their champion, who is totally undefeated in WWE programming, was rolled up in two minutes by Jeff Hardy.

So that's probably it for me. Either AEW will captivate me, or i'll swear off wrestling until Vince McMahon dies.

I find AEW the sweet spot between the in-ring and booking of nxt with the production/arena style of WWE. Plus it's great to have a mainstream wrestling promotion that isn't embarrassed about the fact it's a wrestling promotion and actually uses words on the TV show like "wrestling" and "wrestlers"...y'know, words that are banned on WWE programming.

WWE has so many great wrestlers that some shows are far better than the writing deserves.

And then Goldberg gets another title shot at whats going to be their biggest show this year.

As insane as it would have sounded a few years ago Cena and Reigns at Summerslam could be a legit match of the year contender. Unless the Rock comes back its the biggest match they could possibly book too.

AEW has been killing it for a while now and they have an extremely talented roster. The only issue is the amount factions on each show which is purely down to them only having one show a week for talent. It looks like Cody is due to announce a second show soon which should help reduce the amount of factions. It also seems like Daniel Bryan will sign for them shortly.

WWE has that air of Vince looking to offload them espeically with all the talent releases recently and in desperate attempt to stay relevant they bring back Cena and bloody Goldberg.

The Goldberg thing is another part of why i'm so annoyed right now.

I honestly thought the reason Big E didn't win the Rumble, was so he could have that elevating moment in front of fans. There is a ready-made story for him to cash in on Bobby Lashley after what happened between him and Koffee Kingston, and it deserves to happen at Summerslam.

Like, all the building blocks are there to make an absolute star out of Big E, and they're putting it on hold to bring back Goldberg.

The greatest of all time unveiled AEW's title belt way back when, so if he endorses it i should probably give it a fairer shake. Although i'd love to hear Bret Hart's take on some of the wackier things AEW have done.

The Cena thing just screams of desperation and how long is he actually going to stay around a few months if that. I was never a fan of Cena and his in ring ability is very formulaic but I guess he sells merchandise.

I think it's pretty certain that Brock will eventually turn up again if not at Summerslam then definitely before the end of the year.

I'm not a Cena fan either, in fact i wasn't watching at all for most of his run, but i think he always was a bit of a hurdle for Roman Reigns.

I recall seeing some clips of John really running circles around him in a promo one time, with the line 'it's a promo Roman, if you wanna be the big dog you gotta learn how to do them'.

Because i came back into wrestling after he was established, i just looked at his (Roman Reigns) ability as a wrestler without any of the baggage and always quite liked him, but i feel it's a big step for his character to put Cena to bed.

Which is why i'm pretty sure Cena is going to win.

If i were doing the booking, i'd have Brock come back after Big E has won the title from Bobby Lashley. You'd have the five second win for the title over Kingston to play off of, and could be quite a compelling story.

I'd have loved to have seen Bobby versus Brock, but i think the time for that has passed. Brock Lesnar versus Big E is a match i'd really like to see now.

Cena has it in him to absolutely tear it up in a main event match when heís asked to. Especially if heís just here for the summer.

WWE are really starting to feel the effect s of not creating any stars and keeping guys down. With Bryan got Romanís had to face Edge and now Cena because there is no one on his level. Drew and Lashley arenít really there yet, Braun got fired, Bray is on hiatus, so who does that leave as genuine full time main event talent other than Reigns? Orton? Rollins? Styles? And after that? Kofi at a stretch maybe.

They really need to start getting guys over and made soon. Balor, Owens, Big E could all get there with a little effort

Sting and Orange Cassidy on Dynamite last night was genuinely the best thing I've ever seen. We can stop wrestling now, it ain't getting any better than that.

I assumed they would push the least drunk Uso...

I'm going to sound like a broken record here, but WWE did this to themselves by spending the last ten years or so putting all their efforts into getting Reigns over at the expense of everyone else.

Big E is a good choice, but the cash in can't be a surprise one. You need to get that pop from the spear to the outside.
