Why we aren't having Wyatt v Cena for the title I'll never know. Cena is one win away from beating Flair's title record and it would've made a much more interesting story than Reigns v Goldberg - I see they both got booed last night lol.

You booked your brand new tag champs to lose clean in a non-title match?
Are they trying to completely destroy their characters?#SmackDownLIVE

    Bray Wyatt@WWEBrayWyatt
    Yes

Morale in the camp must be at record levels.

I think teaming up with Morrison to retread a decade+ old character was bad enough for Miz already

So anyone buying the Revolution ppv tonight then? I will be, just wish it started at midnight rather than 1am. Nothing beats watching a ppv live but my 4 year old and 1 year old guarantee an early start tomorrow. May do a half and half but it's a slippery slope to a 4am bedtime.

Yeah I'll be watching it a with a few beers and mates tonight - nice to have a wrestling PPV on a Saturday night for a change.

Iím guessing thereís some historic reason for it but Sunday ppvs are such a pain in the arse

I had never seen this, so just fired it up on YouTube. I think it might be one of the best Goldberg matches I've ever seen TBH.

I can only assume at this point that Husky Harris once sneezed in Vinceís presence

While weíre thinking about Regal, fire this up and skip forward to 20:45 for his match with Daniel Bryan

    Lovely stuff

Iíve only seen clips but Cassidy PAC looks great, so does the tag title match, surprised by the main event and Cody is surely a contender for worst tattoo in wrestling

@simpleexplodingmaybe regal is one of my all time faves. Fantastic wrestler, and great at connecting with the crowd too, whether face or heel.

Cassidy is looking like a really exciting talent and I'm hoping AEW continue with the slow build for him

And btw Iím no way a WWE mark. Iím far from it. I watched WCW mostly in the 90s and during 04-12 I watched TNA.
Just amusing that AEW fans seem to forget that Jericho is what he once hated Hulk Hogan. Past his prime and hogging the main event. But the big difference is I think Jericho will put over wrestlers.
If you think current Jericho is anything like as bad as mid 90s Hogan you should read that Bryan Alvarez wcw book. Hogan was next level for his politicking and burying guys. Don't think the two are comparable really. But I do see your point.

I just resent WWE for being the only wrestling promotion who bans the use of the word wrestling and the fact they seem to have an active contempt for their hardcore fanbase.
Yeah Iíve read it and Nitro. I know about how shitty Hogan was and still is to be fair. My point was that AEW are using Jerichoís stock much like Hogan. Thatís why I said without the putting over stars which I know Jericho is going to do.

Holy fuck that tag title match was insane.

Dustin Hager was as awful as I expected it to be

    Darby is over huge

Cody MJF was disappointing considering the build and Cody's new tattoo is an abomination

    Main event was so so

    OC PAC was great fun

The tag match killed the crowd for the rest of the show. AEW need to learn to pace out a ppv better

Question is, where would you put the tag match? It was always going to be the true main event on quality, but Mox/Jericho needed to be last match on.

The tag match was truly one of the best tag matches I've ever seen, and I love good tag matches more than singles. What with that and the 30 minute iron man v Pac on the previous Dynamite, we can be sure that Kenny is over his torn labrum and is back at peak NJPW level.

Can't rave enough about that tag match - I can't remember the last time I watched a match twice, let alone in the same day.

The event definitely needed better sequencing but I thought it was pretty good overall. Cody/MJF was missing a little something but I thought Moxley/Jericho was decent and PAC/Cassidy and Guevara/Allin were good to great at times.

Hager/Dustin was pants though. Tough to judge the women's title match with it following the tag match; I needed a rest!

I wouldnít worry too much about that. Takeover normally has this issue too. If everyone is giving it everything the crowd and viewers are knackered by the end.

Especially so when it was yet another no dq Ciampa Gargano ending the night for about fifteen shows in a row.

So Matt Hardy's contract expired. I'm guessing we get him and Archer tomorrow followed by Luke Harper in few weeks.

I thought the tag match was superb. But surely I'm not the only one that misses the day when a finisher was a finisher? Too many near falls to create DRAMAA

Don't think anyone kicked out of a finisher did they? There were a lot of signature move kick outs but the only finisher that actually landed was Page's and he won the match with it.

I get your meaning though - some of those moves would put wrestlers out for weeks years ago, now they're up in five minutes.

His Superman pin is the best. Loved him with Yano in Japan recently too.
