Those of you that got to the endgame without finding stims must have stuck to the main path. Some are admittedly out the way and take some exploring but others you pretty much bump into on the way. |
Although I have some frustrations with the map (when it gets caught in the environment, especially), itís pretty good at highlighting points youíve not explored or something you can interact with.

I wish it hadn't ended so quickly. I can get totally absorbed wandering around imperial places as a jedi. I might have to run through some older star wars games now.

Completed. Absolutely great fun! I might even not sell the disk for a future run through.
Been playing SWTOR (mmo one) recently because I felt like I needed more mmo in my life. But this has made me now want to try more star wars.
So the question is that, the price on Cdkeys has been dropping Jedi Fallen Order is now around £26 for Xbox. So is the game decent on Xbox One X or should I wait for a cheap PC version? Or should I get EA monthly thingy but not own it?
@Sharz I have only played a few hours on One X, but it seemed pretty solid. The only thing I really missed from PC was the higher frame rate (though I do think a higher frame rate really transforms the game).
Worth bearing in mind that if PC is a viable option you can just pay £17 or whatever for a month of Origin Premier.
Itís what Iím doing - Iím on track to completing it well within a month and I canít see me wanting to replay it.
Yeah, Sharz did mention that. That's what I did, too (think it was £14.99?).
With the price of the Xbox One version on CDKeys though, I do think it makes the decision a bit more difficult - lesser version, but buy to own for £11 more...
Indeed, would I finish it in 1 month hmmmm
As soon as gets to two months it would have been cheaper to get it on the Xbox.
I did, and I'm slow as fuck at getting through games.
Finally caved and as usual I'm late to the party. Been keen for a major release game to get my teeth into until RE3 is out. Kicking off tonight
Sorry, I read Sharzís post quickly and missed the monthly sub suggestion.
I completed it in 16 days and I took longer than most would and had other games on the go. I liked the game but Iím glad I didnít buy it as I wonít be going back to it.

Yeah, there's no real replay value in this. Unlike a more traditional Soulslike, there aren't really any different build options to play as. There's no NG+ mode. The only real optional dungeon is the Venator. You could go back and search for all the upgrades/stim packs, but if you've already beaten the game without them, there's not much point.
Played the first couple of hours. Did not really know exactly what to expect other than having read something encouraging me to explore.
Kinda feels like an Uncharted type exploration/climbing game with I guess sorta Soul-y parry and roll heavy combat.
My base PS4 seems to occasionally struggle with frame rates and there's some slightly clunky collision with the odd bit of scenery, but the overall presentation is predictably very good.
The performance in this game is weird. I had zero issues playing and completing the game aside from a few frame rate dips and itched. But since Iíve completed it I had minute long hitches, fallen through scenery, crashes, not loading areas, taking time to load In assets such as ropes.

Made it to the Wookiee planet. Enjoying it so far. The structure and combat is mostly pretty fun. At times the presentation is breathtaking but then occasionally it lets itself down with jankiness and silly bugs. Feels like it needed some more time for polish.
Itís good, but itís not great

Wow - just finished this. Loved it! What a pleasant surprise, an actually good Star Wars game! It was by no means perfect, but yeah - a good story, likeable characters, spectacular scifi landscapes, nice balance between exploration and fighting, an ok fighting system, metroidvania elements. It felt "Star Wars". Yes - more like this, please, my body is ready!
As a 42 year old gamer I had lost hope of getting even a mediocre SW game, but this surpassed my expectations.
PS: Those wookies should have spent a bit more time in the oven...

I think EA will give respawn a bit more time with a sequel given that this sold so well.
Have fought the Ninth Sister. Took me a good number of attempts to defeat her. Feels like the difficulty has ramped up a good chunk in and around that boss battle. Am playing on Jedi Knight, so has been hard enough for me without being punishing. That boss battle was a proper pain though
Hmm.. It being Star Wars Day and all, I've seen some quite good prices on XBX. Tempted at £27 for the Deluxe version....

I've read today they've added new game plus and some challenge room options. Might have a replay.

They need to add fast travel and a map that's actually readable.
So, worth a punt? Looking for a new single player game that isn't as onerous as Odyssey. Better than the 2 Star Wars Force Unleashed efforts?
