It was actually pretty good. I missed the brunch menu by 5 minutes and this was the only thing that was vaguely breakfast-y on the main menu of steak, pasta etc. Fried chicken with a waffle, whatís not to like. They donít combine for some sort of unexpected taste sensation but theyíre both good things

That... looks quite randomly put together. What's the white sauce?

I can't even comprehend how to begin eating that. It's giving me a panic attack looking at it.

Suppose to come with a side of Mac and cheese but I swapped that for coleslaw, donít eat dairy. I think the white sauce is that southern gravy we discussed that goes with biscuits

That looks like a very orderly plate of food.

I'm not convinced, but I'd try it.

I think. I might be wrong, I didnít touch it. I have had white gravy in the South, itís kind of like a British bread sauce which is much weirder when you think about it

Iíve seen chicken and waffles come with a side of ranch, but that looks a little too lumpy, so probably gravy.

The local waffle place here does it with spicy fry sauce, which is amazing.

Do you eat it with your fingers or cutlery? Can't use a knife and fork with fried chicken on the bone. Too fiddly. I'd eat fried chicken with my fingers, waffles, sure. Fuck the beans into hell though I'm not touching them with my bare hands. Which leaves what... Tongs? Did they give you tongs? Actually I'd just leave.

The chicken was mainly boneless, one was a breast with a bit of bone on one end, the other was a thigh fillet. Using a knife and fork wasnít an issue

Yeah I donít think you can reasonably be expected to eat fried wings or drumsticks with cutlery

The real question here is did you make a sandwich out of the waffles and some chicken?

@elstoof you say that. After the combination of food on that plate, reasonable expectations just took a swan dive out the window.

I donít think it traditionally comes with the greenery when you have it for breakfast or brunch, but as weíd gone over to lunch/dinner time they had to pad it out with sides I guess.
